  Though I have enjoyed this hotel in the past, I will never stay here again. Michael at the front desk is a bully; he chastised me in front of 6 other guests... for asking for food at 8:30 am, even though breakfast was too have been available until 9. He said they're was no way to know how much people ate, so he was trying to make more. I am certain that Best Western provides documentation on how much food to prepare for the number of guests. He had help on the weekend, so food was available then. The lobby carpet was filthy, and little regard was paid to first comfort and mobility - the cart and pallets were left for at least 20 minutes. I had to ask for towels towards the end of my stay; some were given early in my stay. The room was never cleaned, and my bare feet stuck to the carpet. The person at the desk when I checked out today was helpful, kind, and polite, thank goodness. What gives, Best Western?

  The hotel looks really nice, but we were disappointed in the stay. The mattress was sloped pretty severely, which was annoying for sleeping. The beds were very tall, which would be a problem for those with mobility issues. But it was quiet and the a/c worked well. The hotel somehow ran out of soap (said it was on back order when I asked for some) and gave us extra body wash. The paint was peeling in huge swatches in the bathroom and there was mold above the shower. When I asked for towels, they gave me a pile of them that weren't even folded. They limited breakfast items intentionally (e.g. I asked for more bread - they brought out a whole loaf but only put out 4 slices, this was shortly after breakfast started so there was still a couple of hours left plus everything was down to the last couple of items or completely out; no peanut butter or any frills whatsoever) and they didn't have any fruit (I was told that they don't offer that). Coffee was bad. You could tell they were being very frugal. We would not stay here again.

  The young lady at check in was friendly and helpful. The pillows were too thick. My wife called and the clerk quickly delivered two perfect replacements. We were assigned room 308. It has a king size bed which was fine on my side, but had a deep whole on my wife's side making it very uncomfortable. (I would have switched...told in morning. 🤷) The shower was amazing if you like high pressure water in the shower! Wow! Wonder what it was like on first floor!!! 9:00 breakfast endtime was great, but pickings were slim. There was plenty of carbs and NO fruit. We were passing through Harrisonburg and as a loyalty member, I naturally selected this hotel. I suppose I'd think better of this location if my wife was comfortable and had a better breakfast. It serves its purpose.

  It's the worst hotel I have been in. I came to enjoy the pool with my kids after 2 years of emotional and financial trauma. The pool is closed for the whole of my stay. I had to scrape this money for my kids. It is their only vacation this summer. My daughter is hysterically crying. The email from the company allows me to cancel but the manager refused. He said he will charge me the whole amount. He is bullying me and my children. Customer service called him twice already and he is adamant to not give me my money back to go somewhere else. Even customer service for a company like Best Western was helpless to help me. I guess the general manager Mike is hurting for my meager $367. I will never do business with such company ever again.
