  Only reason I gave it 2 stars was because, in all fairness, I never actually made it as far as the room. We walked in and just based off of the first impression of the lobby, I knew we were in for a not so good stay. It was super dingy and felt dirty. But I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and checked in. We got off the elevator on the second floor and were immediately hit with a heavy smell of weed. We walked towards our room and the entire hallway reeked of weed. The carpets were nasty and it just felt dirty. We got back on the elevator and dropped our keys at the desk. Luckily we were given a refund after calling Priceline. Unfortunately the majority of our sports team was stuck staying there. One ended up with a bug bites on her face from when she was sleeping. They all confirmed their rooms felt dirty. Again, that was not my experience because we high tailed it out of there before seeing our room but one can only imagine. I'm grateful for the refund and that we ended up in the hotel across the street that had only been open 2 days.

  The hotel staff was very accommodating, helpful, and kind throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location was great for everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again in the future. My only suggestion would be to take a little extra time to have the hallways and stairwells steam cleaned. Other than that, overall it was a great stay. Thank you!

  This hotel needs several things. From a rooms renewal to re-train personal, passing by processes, communication, customer service, maintenance, etc. I recognized I was completely upset and was hard, because I received an inappropriate treatment as client. Particularly, front desk personnel bullied on me by my claims, and commented to other clients about the issues in order to disqualified me. Maids need to be recognized for their behavior with clients considering the management style in this location.

  Stayed at this location for first time was good experience. Staff was welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Will stay again..

  I like staying in Candlewood suites in general, they seem a lot less sterile than most hotels without being unclean and always have a nice work area, good ventilation, and plenty of outlets. Especially nice for business travel, but I like them in general. This one north of Richmond was not my favorite (probably the one in Erie is) but it was good. Costly items in the shop, though.
