Horrible place should not be open. Only good bc of Kings dominion. The cleanliness was absolutely horrendous. In room 117, it looked like a family of fives while Wawa’s order was under the bed. Do not recommend

This was in middle of nowhere next to truck stop and theme park. Had one restaurant and a 7eleven. It is 20 minutes or more from everything else. Everything was somewhat dirty and all i couldd smell was the pool and our room stunk bad. Glad i had my own cleaner. We didnt see any bugs so we stayed, since we were exhausted from walking all day. Everything was spacious but breakfast was very limited. Remote control to TV is either solar and charges via light in room or c charger. Which we had to spen 30 minutes getting tv off first night. Not too bad but seems there wasn't enough staff to keep top notch. We had a microwave and refrigerator but not a coffee pot or ice bucket.

I stayed at this hotel for about six hours while my son and his friends were enjoying Kings Dominion on one of the hottest days of the summer, July 15, 2026. The room itself was clean, and I appreciate that.
However, I was very disappointed with the air conditioning. The AC would cool the room, then shut off, and after about 25 minutes—once the room became hot again—it would turn back on. With temperatures reaching 110°F outside, this made the room very uncomfortable. It felt like the thermostat was being controlled rather than allowing guests to keep the room at a consistently cool temperature.
Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not stay at this hotel again. On extremely hot days, guests should be able to maintain a comfortable room temperature without the air conditioning repeatedly shutting off.
No thank you

This place is disgusting. I’ve worked in hotels for 20 years and been to so many different ones and I have to say this one is by far the worst. Completely understaffed, I feel genuinely bad for the staff (who were all very nice) that we did interact with, they have no chance. The hallway on our floor is littered with trash, it’s like no one has vacuumed in weeks/months. The bathroom was gross, hair everywhere. Location wise, can’t beat it if you’re going to the park, but otherwise, it’s a mess.

I wanted to like this property, but my overall impression was that the recent remodel felt like putting lipstick on a pig. While the hotel has potential, the standards for cleanliness and basic maintenance just aren't there right now.
The Cons:
Room Cleanliness: While the bed itself was clean, the rest of the room was disappointing. There were stains on the carpet, hairs everywhere, and I even found a pair of dirty socks left on the floor.
Bathroom Issues: There were gnats hanging around the top of the shower area, and the dispenser was completely out of body wash.
Maintenance & Grounds: The curtains weren't even properly hanging on their rail. Outside, the parking lot was full of litter, which didn't give the impression of a well-taken-care-of property.
Inconsistent Service: On our second day, I went to the front desk to ask for extra towels. The employee on duty was so engrossed in their phone that it took a full 5 minutes just to get acknowledged.
The Pros:
Check-in: The check-in process was fast, and the staff member working at that time was attentive and welcoming.
Location: Directly across the street from King’s Dominion.
This property could be great, but management really needs to step up their quality control, property maintenance, and staff supervision.
