Finding a hotel that effortlessly handles the chaos of traveling with a kid can be a challenge, but this property makes it look easy. While the outside looks like a standard highway stop, stepping through the doors reveals a completely transformed, beautifully renovated interior with a bright, contemporary vibe. The location was an absolute home run for our family trip; being positioned right off the highway made the arrival completely stress-free, yet we were just a short, easy drive away from everything around Virginia Tech. The layout of the rooms and suites gave us plenty of breathing room to unpack and stretch out without feeling like we were stepping all over each other's toes. What truly elevated our stay was the exceptional attention to detail from the staff. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every single day, keeping our room and all the public spaces sparkling clean and completely fresh. The bathrooms were another highlight, featuring massive, brilliantly lit showers that felt more like an upscale hotel than a standard roadside stop. Mornings were just as smooth thanks to the complimentary hot breakfast bar, which offered an impressive variety of fresh options that kept both the adults and our kid happy and fueled up before we headed out for the day. Between the warm, genuinely friendly front desk team and the pristine environment, it is easily one of the most reliable and comfortable family options in the area. • The superb proximity to the highway and Virginia Tech saved us tons of travel time with our kid. • Housekeeping did an incredible job keeping our room and the whole property completely clean and spotless. • The beautifully renovated modern inside is a massive step up from a typical roadside hotel. • The spacious layout gave our family all the space we needed to unpack without feeling cramped. • Large, bright, and well-designed bathrooms with great walk-in showers made getting ready a breeze. • The free hot breakfast had something for everyone, making it easy to fuel up and go. • Every interaction with the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. • The TV cast option wasn’t working during our stay, which seems to be a common temporary glitch across other Holiday Inns following the recent software system upgrades, but it should be addressed soon.

Nice and comfortable, but it could be cleaner for a HI Express. There was a lot of dust around the elevators, old buttons that buzz every time you press them, yellow scuffed floor
