  My family reserved over 30 rooms at this hotel for our family reunion, and while the hotel itself was nice, our experience was overshadowed by the front desk staff. Several members of our family had interactions that were rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming. We traveled from multiple states and expected basic hospitality, especially considering the size of our reservation. Instead, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. It’s disappointing because customer service can make or break a stay, and unfortunately, it broke ours. I would not choose this hotel again.

  My family and I booked this hotel through a third-party agency for our family reunion. We reserved multiple rooms (well over 30)and were informed by both the front desk associate who checked us in and the night shift manager that the meeting room would be complimentary for four hours as part of our group stay for our family meet-and-greet. Unfortunately, the following day, a young lady working the front desk told us we would have to pay for the meeting room, even though it had already been confirmed as complimentary. While misunderstandings can happen, what was most disappointing was how we were treated. Throughout our stay, she was dismissive, gave us unpleasant looks whenever we entered the lobby, and consistently made us feel unwelcome. Several members of our family, who had traveled from different states, shared similar experiences with her and commented on how rude and disrespectful she was. Our family remained respectful throughout the situation. As a God fearing family, we strive to represent Christ wherever we go, even when faced with difficult circumstances. We chose not to let the experience overshadow the purpose of our reunion and continued to treat everyone with kindness and respect. Despite this unfortunate interaction, there were many positives. The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the beds were great, the hot breakfast was excellent, and the housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. The night shift manager, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember, was especially kind, professional, and accommodating. She stepped in to assist us and made us feel valued as guests.

  Great service last night/am checkout-not so much. Thanks you Front desk manager Lucky! She was very nice in answering all our questions and assuring us that our requests were valid and could be worked out. She was patient and compassionate in her level of service. Not that often you get someone at a chain hotel desk be that accommodating. We were Lucky to have such great service!! However, when leaving in the 6am for checkout, staff not so accommodating, we were checking out to move closer to VA beach but she was a bit miffed because she already did her morning count and us leaving ,threw off her system And when asking about one night stay she wasn’t that nice in explaining the hotel charges, Never said thank you for staying and her demeanor was as if I was bothering her. In addition the room had this feeling of wetness in the air and the blankets and sheets felt wet all night. I’m still tired as I write this because I felt wet all night, I’m gonna need a nap,lol. Even the morning staff, no one said hello, how can I help you as I made coffee, they all looked like they hated being there. The showers were not as clean as well. Overall not a great stay. Started off good but levels of service and quality of rooms waivered ,I would not stay here again but I believe there is room for some improvements to achieve better scores in the future.
