    I DIDN'T APPRECIATE BEING CHARGED $5.00 A NIGHT TO PARK MY VEHICLE. IF YOU WANT TO CHARGE PUT IT IN THE NIGHTLY CHARGE BUT DON'T SURPRISE ME AFTER I HAVE PAID FOR THE ROOM. THAT'S BULL SHIT.

    This is one of the nicest hotels of this brand I’ve stayed at. Clean, conveniently located. And the previous reviewer commented about vagrant, we saw none of that. We were told that there had been a homeless encampment in the vicinity, the city of Charlottesville took down the whole encampment and took all the homeless people and put them up in the shelter last month. So we saw nobody wandering. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I felt extremely safe The breakfast was the usual Breakfast for the Brand.

    We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Quiet hotel with a wide variety offered for breakfast. Staff were friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

    I normally prefer to stay at Holiday Inn Express and Suites when I'm travelling. But I had an experience at this one that left a bad taste in my mouth that makes me contemplate if I will choose one of these locations again. First off, the room was clean and modern. Continental breakfast was fine. But when I was checking in, the receptionist asked if I was aware of their 5 dollar parking fee. I'm like what?! Don't nickel and dime me if I come to your facility, especially after I've booked and arrive! Why am I paying extra to park there??? The hotel is an hour and a half walk to the arena, so it's not like I could park at the hotel and walk to the venue! Why am I paying 5 dollars?? Build your "extra fee" in to your price then if that's the case. It's not simply because it cost me 5 more dollars, it's the principle of it all! Heck are you going to meter our rooms and have us pay electric and water now too? That's the wrong road to go down, imo. Like I said, I don't know if I'll stay at other HIE&S if this is going to be the trend, especially if it's not disclosed when booking.

    Convenient location to Montecello. Rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast was a hot and good taste and quality. Two front desk staff were curt and just short of unfriendly. Did not have a Bible in the room. :(
