  We arrived late, it was obvious the hotel was busy. I expected less than usual service. I was so wrong. We received the best customer service I’ve ever had at an IHG stay. Roan was a superstar and we watched him handle multiple guests while never skipping a beat and making sure everyone was taken exceptional care of. We didn’t plan on another stay on our return trip, but we will be now. We’ll see you guys next week.

  We travel a lot and have stayed in our fair share of not so clean hotels. It was a nice surprise to walk into a nice and clean hotel room and not have to wipe down the bathroom and shower surfaces. The staff were friendly, the hotel was quiet and CLEAN! We will be staying with them again!

  Great place and excellent staff. The rooms and the facility was exceptionally clean and fresh. Would definitely come back here again next time we are in Charlottesville

  ⭐ 1-Star Review — Extremely Disappointing Experience I checked into this hotel on Monday and immediately reported that the shower in my room was not working. I stopped by the front desk again this morning and reminded them that I still could not take a shower. When I returned to the hotel later, I was extremely disappointed to find that the shower had still not been fixed. What makes this especially frustrating is that I am an IHG Platinum Elite member and stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels almost every week for work. I am a frequent and loyal guest, and this experience falls far below what I have come to expect from the Holiday Inn Express brand. A functioning shower is one of the most basic necessities of a hotel room. After reporting the issue multiple times, I should not have to continue staying in a room where I cannot even take a shower. If maintenance could not repair it promptly, the hotel should have offered to move me to another room with a working shower. The lack of urgency and follow-through from the hotel is unacceptable, particularly for a guest who stays with this brand as frequently as I do. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location. Management needs to address how maintenance complaints are handled and make sure guests are not left for days without basic amenities they have paid for.

  The rooms were filthy and uncomfortable. We had pre paid for breakfast only to find the only thing in the breakfast area was a crock pot with water and live bugs in it. We went to the front desk and were told to go sit down and someone would take our order. No one ever came . They did not refund our money for breakfast.
