  It's a OK location right off the highway only issue is a lot of highway noise. The room was clean and had plenty of pillows to sleep with. The towels were a little worn and the shower door really didn't shut. Not an issue for me but will be for the maintenace staff in time. Very limited on room amenities only had plastic cups, but they did have k-cup coffee maker in the room. If you are visiting or travelling not a bad place to stay.

  I would have given this place 5 stars because it was clean, comfortable, and only had one minor issue. (It takes a lot of pumps to get enough soap out of the soap dispenser in the shower, and I'm glad they had that because I forgot mine). Also, Nydia at the front desk was really friendly and helpful. But they have an ongoing issue with housekeeping not respecting the do not disturb signs. I had a sign out on room 324 on Oct 8 before 930 am. If someone from management reads this, I hope they'll talk to whoever used their keycard to enter when I was out.

  Location is where this hotel shines, otherwise it is a 3 star on its best day. No included breakfast, slow elevators, and room keys that deactivate daily so I had to make trips down to the desk just to get my keys reactivated. Oh, the battery in my door also died meaning they maintenance guy had to use pry bars to break into the room to replace the battery. The bathroom is a barn door with a translucent glass door so not only is there no sound privacy, there is also no light privacy, so if you use the bathroom at night be prepared to wake up the entire room because it's bright and the toilet is loud. My shades were also broken so light came in as soon as the sun came up. The hotel is not bad, but it's not good either. Oh and $16 for that buffet is highway robbery. It should be included like most other holiday inn hotels. The staff was nice and accommodating.

  Do not make a reservation here. They overbooked and will cancel your room. Front desk person pretended she didn’t know what happened then in explaining she canceled it. Had wrong phone number written down she called.

  It's undoubtedly an older Holiday Inn. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing! For one thing, they still have air conditioning units you can control yourself without one of those damn motion sensors everyone has now. That alone is enough to make me come back here the next time in Charlottesville! Folks I interacted with were all friendly. The room had a bit of a chemical smell and the TV was glitchy - both things I could have complained about but didn't feel like so that's on me, and neither was that big of a deal tbh. Just one complaint though - and I didn't even dock a star for it - but can we not with the stomach-churning AI slop restaurant poster? Nothing about this poster makes me want to eat there lol. I'd literally rather see a menu typed in Microsoft Word with circa 1998 clip art than this.
