    If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. When we first got to the hotel and checked in our room, the room smelled like old mildew carpet. The bathroom was absolutely filthy and there were brown stains on the toilet just disgusting. I wanted to check out but all hotels were booked in the area due to a basketball tournament that weekend. The hotel accommodated my family and I and gave us a better room on the other side of the hotel which by surprise was better. While in the new room, our keys kept not working, so everyday, we have to go down to the front desk to reactivate our keys, talk about an inconvenience. We were out for the morning and while we were leaving, housekeeping asked did we need our room cleaned, I say yes. Once we got back, which was 4 hours later, I noticed a bag of clean towels on the floor outside of our hotel room. Upon opening the door, we noticed our room had not been cleaned, garbage not taken out, etc. This is our 3rd day in the hotel and our room has not been cleaned once. The housekeeping staff just lazy. I then went down to the front desk and asked for the manager who was on duty for the day. I explained everything that was going on and he instantly got defensive and said your room doesn’t get cleaned everyday. Instead of apologizing for my horrible experience I was dealing with, he began to get an attitude like I was bothering him. I was instantly turned off and just appalled. I will definitely never stay at another Holiday Inn Express. This experience was just horrible.

    Don’t let the pictures of refurbished lobby and dining area fool you, the rooms are dumps. Our first room had a very old broken air conditioner, in addition to a microwave it’s missing knobs. Our second room had soaking wet used wash cloths in the bathroom… YUCK. House keeping was knocking on our door at 9am before we had checked out. Be warned, breakfast ends at 9:30, not the typical 10:30 of every other Holiday Inn IHG I’ve ever stayed. And if you need something(like a new room) and it’s nighttime, don’t bother calling the front desk, the sleep deprived agent will be sitting outside smoking, same as when we arrived.

    I hate writing bad reviews. When we checked in our room looked like someone was already in there the toilet was used and not flushed and the bed looked like someone had been lying on it. We walked right of the room and went back to the front desk. The person there was very helpful and keep apologizing and gave us a new room. the next morning we went down for breakfast at 7:45 and the buffet was empty, I don't mean the trays were empty, there was no trays in the buffets. Only one tray had anything in it sausage. The cinnamon rolls and the Juice machine were also empty, we waited there for 15 minuets and no one came around. So I told my wife lets go. I went to check out the person behind the desk was explaining over and over to a guy that he booked third party and would need to call them for over 15 min. I asked my wife to see if they put any food out, she checked and still nothing. I finely said something to the effect I have no time for this and handed my room keys over and said it was a terrible stay. I just stayed at different Holiday Inns for the last 10 days. This place needs better management.

    Last year when we stayed here we noticed the room was not as great as in the past, but we rebooked again this year. Mistake! Could hardly get into the room because the door would flash red or not flash at all. Maybe it was because the door was all scraped up Bathroom: Tub was mega scratched up, poop residue in toilet which also sounded like it was taking flight, door handles falling off and the door you had to push close and hope it opened again. Chunks of paint and wall surface missing including the carpet. Something had spilled on the radiator and was never cleaned. Bobby pin left on the floor. Can't tell you about the laundry or ice machine becuase they were out of order. We had to leave our leftovers behind becuase we didnt have ice for our cooler. Not happy about that. On to breakfast... day 1 the breakfast person spent the entire time we were there fixing the coffee machines. Meanwhile the pancake machine wasn't working, there was literally only 3 boxes on milk in the cooler and nothing else, a couple of bagels left and other food running out. She fixed one machine and instead of checking the food went on to the other! This morning they said the breakfast people called out. And the lady filling in was working hard but when breakfast is included in the price, and there is not even bread out 15 minutes later, but you cant hang around waiting for it... its really frustrating. Also maybe the staff should have a smoking area away from the guests becuase the front desk girl standing outside the entrance vaping was just the tip of the iceberg.

    We have stayed at this property before with no problems, but just had a really terrible experience. We were checked in to the wrong room according to the front desk. Which we found out because someone walked into our room while I was in the bath tub ( I didn't hear someone knocking initially because of water running). I overlooked that until the morning...when things got worse. Then this morning management must not have staffed correctly. The staff was working ridiculously hard after breakfast hadn't been out out until after 830 when breakfast started at 7. I thought they had just run out but it had never made it out according to other guests. They had pulled cleaning staff to make up for the deficit after complaints. The staff wasn't to blame as you could tell how hard they were working.
