Did you know there's a nature preserve mere steps away from the hustle and bustle of North Fairfax Drive? A peaceful ode to the mid-Atlantic’s natural heritage awaits you year round. Come take a break in "TNC’s Tiniest Preserve," the Arlington Native Plant Garden tucked behind The Nature Conservancy's building. In just a half-acre plot, you'll find 150 native plants, local and migratory birds, insects, and squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks thriving in a botanical garden. The diversity of native trees, shrubs and flowers make this attractive garden unique in an area populated by commercial landscaping.
