Great location if you're on a budget! We stayed for 2 nights and were upgraded to a jacuzzi room. The room was immaculate and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Location is only 1 mile from Huntington metro station, where you can park all day for $4.95 in their parking garage ( with a few thousand spaces!). It doesn't take long to get to DC attractions via the metro. The hotel is also just a few miles drive from Geoge Washington's Mount Vernon and super close to Old Town Alexandria ( 2 metro stops away). If you don't have a car, theres a bus stop right outside for bus 171, which goes to the Huntington metro station. The neighborhood is pretty blah, but there are a number of inexpensive, good places to eat within just 1-2 miles. Definitely cheaper than other DC areas. People comment on the $10 parking fee, but DC hotels charge far more per night, so it's a much better deal. We'd stay again!

I stay with IHG A Lot. One of my fav things is those fantastic cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Literally one of my main reasons for booking this hotel this time. My flight was delayed last night, very late. So by the time I got to sleep, it was after 4am. I sent my alarm for 915 so I could snag a quick breakfast on VERY little sleep. I throw on clothes, run down stairs, only to be met with a breakfast area bereft of pretty much anything. Pancake machine is down, juice machine is down, everything is out of stock. One apple...... I ask the nice (not) lady in the breakfast area if I can please, PLEASE have one of the cinnamon rolls. She looks at me in disgust and shakes her head no, then goes back to washing dishes. Now, mind you, Im one of about a dozen or more people, out here looking for food at 920am. Shes back there washing dishes and denying us breakfast. So I ask again, I'm smiling and polite. She shakes her head no, rolls her eyes, and says "almost over!" I try to explain to her that I've had less than 5 hours of sleep because my flight was so late, that I have to work today and was truly looking forward to food, because I wont have access to anything to eat till after 3pm. She huffs at me... continues to shake her head the entire time. Goes and angrily grabs some rolls, unwraps them, and tosses them in the warmer. Very cold. Ok. Fine, I'll take cold rolls. I apologized for making her so angry, and she just continues to shake her head and mumble something under her breath. Then she goes back and does dishes. At 928 exactly she comes out and angrily grabs all the serving utensils, while people are still looking for the food. So what little food is left, we cannot access. I get that its ALMOST 930... but seriously. How much more disgruntled can you act around your customers. I went to grab a milk.. its mostly empty. Ok, the juice machine said there would be juice in the fridge... there is not. And you can bet I'm not asking that hostile woman for anything else. I get it, you hate your job. Maybe find one that isnt public facing if you hate people so much that you delight in taking away their food. I expected better, but I was so wrong. No milk, no juice, and a VERY angry woman because "ALMOST OVER". I got the tiny bit of milk left, and two cold cinnamon rolls. On another note, the room was clean, cold and comfy. And the super nice lady at check in was awesome. And seeing my name up with platinum on the board was pretty cool. But I wont ever come back to this location. Oh.... I can hear her now, as I'm sitting here writing this. Shes complaining about me, and a couple of the women with head coverings, in the kitchen to a guy. A lot of people know Spanish my friend, maybe dont talk crap about your patrons just because you think we cant understand. Edit* Wow, she's big mad. Yeah, I wont be back here. Making a note in my maps to not come back to this one, ever.

The room was very clean and roomy. We got the room with the jacuzzi tub and it was very clean. The only thing that caught me off guard waa the $10 parking fee but not a huge deal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast smelled and looked phenomenal but we did not eat it as we already had previously planned breakfast plans. I would for sure stay here again no questions asked
