Close to the airport with shuttle service every half hour. No complimentary breakfast. But good hearty breakfasts with lots of choice for $15

Nice hotel with a decent bar and grill or restaurant. Breakfast is served in the morning but for a price. No free breakfast. Location is only minutes from the Salt Lake City Airport and the hotel does provide a shuttle.

Downright Awful! I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The hotel and room can only be described as shabby. The furniture was stained and frayed. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, holes in the walls, and the floor was weirdly uneven with the sharp edges of the tiles poking up. The door to the room had been previously damaged near the latch where someone had chipped away part of the door (It looked like this was a previous break in to the room). I didn't feel safe staying there but it was late, the kids were all tired and our flight was early in the morning. The staff were rude and hung up on me when I called to request the shuttle to pick me up from the airport. I have previously always had a good experience staying at holiday inn express properties. This location does a disservice to the brands reputation. Truly awful, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Booked this hotel so we could have an easy departure in the morning (early flight). I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE BOOKING HERE.
* Front Desk - friendly in person, but questionable otherwise. My wife called to ask questions and to request the shuttle for the early morning pick up. First call, front desk picked up the phone and set it aside, my wife could hear shuffling of paperwork for a couple minutes, then hung up. She called again, only to have the receiver picked up and slammed down immediately. Eventually, she got through and asked for the shuttle to take us in the morning.
* Hotel - Once inside, the hallways were rough. Bumpy would be putting it mildly. We stayed in a Family Suite, the floor remained severely uneven and bumpy. It felt as if whoever had laid the carpet had also thrown random objects prior to laying it. The tile in the bathroom wobbled when you stepped on it and it was also uneven to the point I worried we might break a tile or fall through. With the hallway and room in that condition, I would guess that the entire floor (if not entire hotel) suffered from the same state of shoddy workmanship and disrepair. Additionally, the Family Suite was dark and dingy. It truly grossed me out.
* Breakfast - This may not effect some travelers, but there was no continental breakfast. Rising early to catch a flight and expecting a breakfast is one of the things my family and I were hoping for. Instead, they have an overpriced bar knowing you are a captive consumer and that there are few nearby amenities.
* Shuttle - After my wife confirmed a shuttle pick up in the morning, we expected it to arrive and take us with no hassle. Instead, when we brought our bags down, we were told that we were not scheduled for the shuttle and that we would have to wait. This put us dangerously close to missing our flight and made the challenge of going through security even more stressful.
I am sure there are other things I'm missing, but this will have to suffice.
I have been to many different Holiday Inns. I have found that it is really hit or miss. For instance, the week prior we had stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Lehi near Thanksgiving Point. It was a wonderful experience with no problems. Others have lied about availability and upon arrival we've found our reservations mysteriously absent.
This Holiday Inn was the absolute worst that I've ever stayed at. The only way it could have been worse is if I had woken to ankle-deep sewage running through the room.
Conclusion: I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Unfortunately, our stay was marked by multiple safety concerns, accessibility issues, and significant inconveniences that caused considerable stress and made us feel unsafe throughout our visit.
When making the reservation, we specifically requested a first-floor room because we were traveling with two dogs. Upon arrival, we were informed that there are no guest rooms on the first floor, despite our understanding that we had been accommodated with a first-floor room. Because of the circumstances, we reluctantly agreed to stay on the second floor.
The front desk staff assured us that our room was located near a stairway, making it easy to take the dogs outside. However, we later discovered that this stairway was an emergency exit only, and once outside, there was no ability to re-enter the building through that door. When we returned and asked about this issue, we were told, "Oh, didn't they tell you that you wouldn't be able to go in that door?" No one had informed us of this significant limitation.
As a result, we were forced to bring our dogs through the lobby each time. One of our dogs has a severe fear of elevators, so we attempted to use the interior stairway instead. At that point, we were informed that the stairway was out of service and that we would be required to use the elevator. We even purchased a special dog carrier in an effort to safely transport our dog on the elevator because there appeared to be no alternative means of accessing our room.
To make matters worse, we then discovered that we could not call the elevator to our floor, as that feature was also not functioning properly. The only way we could access our room was by taking the emergency exit stairway down to the outside of the building, walking to the lobby entrance, entering through the front doors, and then using the elevator to return to the second floor.
These conditions created significant safety concerns and logistical challenges. We repeatedly found ourselves wondering how we would manage our luggage, our dogs, and our personal belongings. More importantly, the combination of inaccessible stairs, a malfunctioning elevator system, and reliance on emergency exits raised serious concerns regarding emergency preparedness and guest safety. Throughout our stay, we felt anxious and unsafe, and we are grateful that no actual emergency occurred.
