  I generally love IHG properties generally but this HI Express has been non stop bad surprise after bad surprise, as follows: - Arrived on a late night flight with kids, called to request a shuttle and the front desk said one was at the airport and he would let the driver know to wait. Awesome. We hurried out and got to the waiting spot just in time to see the driver pull away. The ~30 minute wait at 11:40 PM with kids feels bad. - The floor is... Bumpy. Seriously feel like I'll roll an ankle walking to the bathroom. - Looking for a trash can under the sink and opened it to find a trash Domino's Pizza box. Not a tiny piece of trash... - No complimentary breakfast - this may sound dumb but it's the #1 thing my kids get excited about when staying in a hotel and one of the main reasons we pick Holiday Inn Express locations. I have NEVER been to one without. - Stayed in a family suite and I love the door separating the rooms BUT it means that climate control barely gets in the other room. On the 4th floor that means it's uncomfortably warm in the summer. - Shuttle requested in the morning at 8:20. "Ok, I'll let the driver know. It should be around 8:55" A 30+ minute wait for a shuttle run to an airport that's 5 minutes away feels frustrating. Maybe things will pick up...

  When I went to check in I was told I had a duplicate reservation. I politely asked to cancel as it was a mistake. The desk clerk informed me that because it was through Priceline that I would have to call them. I did. Priceline at that time then passed the buck and stated that we had to wait to cancel to ensure that the reservation was not used. So emailed Priceline the next day to be ignored continued for the next 4 weeks trying to catch the gym at the office and have Priceline tell them it was a duplicate reservation. We finally got ahold of the gym and the room was not used and Priceline was at that point ready to issue refund but generated that even though the room was not used that it stopped him from selling the room. Which would have been taken care of if the front desk clerk would have just canceled the reservation as requested.

  The service was good, and the staff were responsive whenever we asked for assistance. The hotel is quite old, and the rooms and common areas need renovation and better maintenance because they can give the impression of not being very clean. Parking costs $8 per day. There is an indoor swimming pool, but the water did not look clear, so we decided not to use it.

  Overall stay was good and comfortable. One point of confusion: the breakfast policy isn't clearly explained, specifically, if you're booking with points, there's no option during booking to add breakfast, which leaves it unclear whether it's included or how to arrange it. Would be helpful if this was clarified either at booking or at check-in.

  Very nice, comfy bed and big room. Restaurant and bar downstairs. One thing I will say it’s nice they offer certain amenities, but if you are gonna have a coin operated wash and dry please keep quarters for purchaseThe rooms are costly enough there should be a little convenience there since it is a holiday weekend and no banks are open to get any. Alot of drivers do stay in holes from time to time and our home most days is the road and we stay for the amenities we don’t get at home. Just saying
