  Bryce Canyon is an amazing place. Almost everyone was kind and friendly except the people at Dark Ranger Telescope Tours who complained about the other businesses in the area during their evening presentation we attended. (That was a terrible experience for many people attending the event that night). I’m looking forward to visiting this area again.

  Although we enjoyed our ride yesterday, we feel that the experience fell short of what was advertised. Our ride lasted only 55 minutes—35 minutes shorter than expected. We had only a brief view of the canyon, which passed too quickly to take a photo, and while the guides were pleasant, they did not share commentary or details about the area that our group could hear. Given that the tour was significantly shortened and did not deliver the full experience, we requested a prorated refund and never received a response from that email request. We would suggest going elsewhere to experience a horseback ride.

  We booked the 1.5-hour horseback riding experience. We read that it included scenic views and explanations about the area. In reality, we spent most of the time riding through a grove, and only about 3 minutes on the canyon edge with the view. The guide didn't speak at all, and when someone did ask a question, only the people at the very front of the line could hear him, since we were riding in a single-file line. In short—not worth the money, and it would have been better to just hike for an hour and a half instead of doing the ride. Anyone looking for a horseback riding experience can find it elsewhere for much cheaper."

  Did not have a good experience. The guide was all the way up front and did not pay any attention to the back of the line, where some of the horses were veering off the path near the cliff. I did not feel like if there were any kind of issues in the back, that the guide would have noticed. I don't think I ever heard a thing that was being said up front. In the future, it could be helpful to have a guide in the back as well to ensure a consistent experience for all guests. I was hoping to learn more about the land we rode on but couldn't hear anything. Some of the horses seemed irritable or tired. Some seemed as though they needed more rest. Some kept veering off and the guide did not notice or seem to care. The employees seemed aloof or not sure how to assist new riders. The owner, however, was very polite and the scenery was pretty. Unfortunately, I don't think that it makes up for the overall experience I had. I hope this feedback is helpful.

  My husband and I did the 3-hour ride through Red Canyon and had a great time! I have little to no experience with horses, but I felt safe the entire time and enjoyed the views. The trail guide who was closest to us during the ride, Dil, was amazing! She was clearly very familiar with the trail, consistently pointed out interesting rock formations, and took photos and video which she air dropped to us on the ride back. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was due to our interaction with the people at the activities desk at Ruby’s Inn. When we walked up, neither of them greeted us or asked how they could help. We asked if we were in the right place to check in and they both seemed a bit flustered and said they were having computer issues. I can understand that, but we felt like we were more of an interruption. Then they asked us if we each had two bottles of water, which we did not, and told us we would not be allowed on the ride without them. I can also understand that, but nowhere in the email we received was that mentioned. It was more “here’s what you’re allowed to bring.” If that’s required, then it should be clearly stated in the preparation email.
