Staybridge Suites used to be a destination stay. My how things have changed. Cockroaches in the rooms, dilapidated wood work and walls, no room cleaning service (we were there four nights). One person had put a bag of trash in the hallway and it sat there for two-and-a-half days. The ice machine was broken, someone came by to look at it (as evidenced by the parts on the floor being moved), but it was never fixed. The pool was closed and it was green with algae. There are kitchenettes in the rooms, and the lack of maid service for those with “extended stays” (what they said to us) led to bad smells and no doubt the bugs. Trash overflows at all turns. I say one room cleaner, one time, on one date. Just find a different place to stay. What a bust!

We checked in around 11pm it's now 1245am and I'm just in absolute SHOCK at this IHG experience. I'm so flabbergasted at the disgust and filth of this room that I feel scammed. We've been IHG members for over a decade and this has been the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I avoid motels so as not to deal with this crap, I would've rather we stayed at a seedy motel 6. I don't even want to use the toilet nor shower here, I will rather go to a gas station in the morning. I literally spent $160 just to grab some rest during our road trip because I don't do motels but this has definitely humbled me.
I can't even address all the issues... but here's a few. They haven't swept or mopped behind the door in at least 6 months. Crumbs all over the carpet. The dusty cushions on the half sized "pullout" were gross. The "pullout" is about the size of a twin, I've never seen one this small in my 46 years of life. There was a DISGUSTING dirty sock (in plain sight) under chaise lounge. Under the cushion there was garbage and a used flosser. I'm so frustrated I can't even finish this, not worth the money nor the headache. Not sure why I can't post these PHOTOS but I'll figure it out later.
Erica at check in was really nice though.

We arrived at the hotel around 10:00 p.m. and began unpacking. When we pulled back the sheets, we found a long black hair in the bed. I am blonde and my husband is bald, so it was clearly not ours. We attempted to call the front desk, but the phone in the room did not work, so we had to walk to the front desk to request clean bedding.
As we removed the sheets, we discovered blood stains on the pillow and what appeared to be either blood or fecal stains on the mattress topper. We also had to replace the comforter after finding additional unidentified stains. The room was in unacceptable condition overall. The chairs were filthy, the dresser drawers were dirty, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, and the air conditioning was not functioning properly.
We requested to be moved to another room, but were told there was no availability. The poor cleanliness extended beyond our room. The chairs in the breakfast area were heavily stained and appeared to be in need of replacement. We also learned that the pool could not be used because the hotel did not have the required permit. To make matters worse, another guest reported having to change rooms due to bugs.
This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and basic guest accommodations was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

The roaches really put a damper on the trip. The pool not working was also anoyong. The ac not working. That was pretty lame as well. The door not locking was also concerning. Wait there being no towels was crazy. No wait no silverware was also annoying. Just sleep outside in a homeless camp at least the people are nice.

Avoid this hotel! We checked in around 4pm on an Sunday and as we were unloading our luggage from our car several cars pulled up and parked near the pool. Everyone that got out of the cars had swimsuits already on. They unloaded pool floats and coolers and went to the pool. It was obvious they were not guests. Shortly after there was a full fledged pool party going on with pizza, alcohol, and loud music. Around 8pm they sat up a large speaker on top of a truck and blasted the music even louder. The lobby is right beside the pool so the hotel clerk clearly knew what was going on and appeared to be friends with the people. The pool was suppose to close at 10pm but the loud music and the crowd in the pool continued to party. Around 11 there appeared to be a police officer in the parking lot and the music stopped. Several cars then left the parking lot and some of the people that left the pool moved the party to the back of a pickup truck where they continued to drink in the parking lot as their small children ran around the parking lot. It was obvious these people were not guests at the hotel but the hotel clerk allowed this because they must be friends or family. I would expect this at a Motel 6, not Staybridge!! There were limited rooms available around town when we booked this room and we specifically booked it because they seemed to have a nice pool for our kids to enjoy. My kids never got to swim because of this party and the pool being packed with the party crew. I’m sure other guests avoided the pool as well because of this. Just so disrespectful to the actual paying guests! Hotel is also dirty and needs a very good cleaning. Overpriced. Do not take your family to this hotel!!!
