  WIG ON PIG I stayed at the Best Western North Side Inn in Room 139 while in Wichita Falls for work. I found a roach in my room, photographed it, showed the picture to the front desk, and asked for the room to be swept and mopped and the linens changed. I was apologized to and told someone would come back and clean it. I left for work believing it would be handled. When I returned, the SAME ROACH was still lying on the floor exactly where I had left it. The cleaning I requested had not been done. I went back to the front desk and explained that I had already reported the problem and had already been told the room would be cleaned. I was initially told they would sweep and mop in the morning. I had to reiterate that I had already asked for this to be handled, left for work, and returned to find nothing had been done. Housekeeping throughout my stay was inconsistent. The bed was not always properly made, the bathroom did not appear thoroughly cleaned, and the exterior/common areas of the property appeared dirty and poorly maintained. The staff experience was also hit-or-miss. There was generally very little greeting or acknowledgment. I eventually escalated the matter to Best Western Customer Care. They documented my complaint and credited 5,000 Best Western Rewards points. I appreciate corporate responding, but compensation afterward doesn’t change what happened at the property. Hence: WIG ON PIG. You can put a recognized brand name on the sign and provide points after someone complains, but none of that substitutes for maintaining the property, properly cleaning guest rooms, and following through when a guest reports a problem. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this property.

  Take it from a Diamond member. Stay somewhere else. Dirty and Smelly Overpriced for the location and the connection of the property, inside and out.

  This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in the hallways stink and the rooms smell like cigarettes and pee and the people in front are refusing to give us a refund but luckily we were able to get it

  I've been staying there every 6 months to a year and each time it just gets better. Staff is great, the rooms are very clean and if you need them they take care of what you need right away
