My recent stay at this hotel was disappointing across several aspects of the experience. At check-in, the staff were welcoming and courteous, and I was offered IHG welcome and appreciation points, which was a positive start. However, the luggage trolley provided was not very functional and could only support a limited number of bags, which made the check-in process more difficult. Upon entering the room, I noticed an unpleasant odor and the overall condition of the room felt dated and not well maintained. The bathroom also had issues, including an ongoing unpleasant smell and functionality concerns. I contacted the front desk for assistance, but I was informed that maintenance support was not available at night. As a result, I had to attempt to resolve the issue myself, which was not successful, and I ultimately had to arrange a temporary solution externally. Unfortunately, this impacted our ability to rest on the first night. Additionally, while coffee was offered, the water used had an unusual taste and smell, which affected the experience. The most significant issue occurred after check-out, when I was charged for an additional night that I did not believe was applicable. I contacted the hotel multiple times and later escalated the matter through IHG customer support. There appeared to be a difference in understanding regarding the timeline of my stay, and I provided supporting documentation. After review, a partial refund was issued. Overall, while the staff at check-in were welcoming, the stay was negatively affected by room condition, maintenance availability, and a billing dispute that required significant effort to resolve and unfortunately was not fully responded . Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay at this property again.

I don’t like writing negative reviews but felt my experience needed to be shared. I booked 4 nights through hotels.com at this candlewood suites for a conference. My fault I didn’t really research it better. The front office staff was incredible helpful and I appreciate them trying. This hotel is tired and things are worn out. It’s also very secluded and people are staying there long term so it didn’t feel totally safe. The back door not far from my room was being propped open to allow people access without a key. I removed the rock twice and closed the door only to see it open later. This after I’d already killed two small roaches in my room. The staff understood my concern and moved me to another room away from the door issue. The second room smelled faintly of vape smoke and the fire sensors had been disabled and were lying on the table. There was water condensation collecting on the ceiling in my bathroom which dripped on my head while I got ready for a banquet. The ice maker in the room refrigerator was broken. They had to turn the water off during the day for a “water emergency” on the 1st floor. After one night I checked out. I tried to get moved to a sister property but booking through hotels.com made that impossible. The hotel refused to give me any money back for the 3 nights I didn’t stay and hotels.com gave me a $50 credit. Aside from the nice bed linens (that you find at their nicer sister hotels) and the front office staff, I can’t say too many positive things.

Haven't stayed here in a while and I forgot how much this place needs some TLC. Floors smell like pee and smoke. AC ducts covered in dust and grime. Peeling inside the elevator. Location is great but you get what you pay for

There were a few sunken floorboards in my room that nearly sprained my ankle. The bed was not comfortable at all. I had a clogged toilet and so I went to call the front desk from the room phone, but the line was disconnected/cut from the handset. When I requested a maintenance person, there was none. They said I needed to come to the front desk for a plunger to unclog the toilet myself.

Don't trust their pictures online . Rooms were old, smelly, dark and not the best condition. Great staff though and good location. If you can overcome the disappointment in the rooms then you are golden.
