  I have been a platinum elite member since 2011. I have stayed at many Holiday Inn express and actually it is my preference. However, this hotel may get me off Holiday Inn completely. The room was dirty. It had not been vacuum vacuumed. There were stains on the carpet. And we could not secure our door, see the attached pictures and video. I would give this hotel a zero rating, however it wouldn’t let me write a zero on the scale.

  The Holidays Inn decided to stay open for business without running water. I came in purchase two rooms. Once I arrived inside of the room there was NO running water. I informed the front desk,but business carried on as normal. When I tried to correct this matter with a different employee there was no resolution. I would never recommend this privately owned hotel. They have no standards of quality resolution.

  Our stay at this hotel was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. The middle-aged Black gentleman working at the front desk in the evening was not welcoming. When our room keys didn’t work and he had to come unlock the door, he displayed a dismissive attitude in front of my entire family, which made an already frustrating situation even worse. The room itself had a very strong mold odor, and there were visible signs of mold on the ceiling. It felt like a serious health concern. On top of that, housekeeping had clearly not inspected the room properly. There was no toilet paper or facial tissue, and to make matters worse, someone else’s used underwear was left in the closet. When we asked to be moved to another room, we were simply told the hotel was sold out. There was no apology, no effort to offer any kind of compensation, and no attempt to make us feel that our concerns mattered. The only positive part of our experience was the night-shift front desk lady. She listened to our concerns and arranged for us to be moved the following morning. While we appreciated her help, the second room also had a noticeable mold smell, although not as strong as the first. That suggests the mold problem may be affecting much of the property. Based on our experience, the hotel appears to have a significant mold issue that should be addressed immediately. I believe it deserves inspection to ensure it meets appropriate health and safety standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, even if the stay were free.

  Had a reservation for the night of 6/14. Got sick that morning so called around 3 to see about canceling the room. Front desk lady said she would check with the manager due to it being within the 24 hour cancelation policy. Never heard back so called back around 6pm and she said she would algo ahead and cancel the room. Next day I was charged for the stay. When I called back a different lady took my call and said she would talk to the manager and call me. Never received a call back and the stay didn’t show up on my IHG app anymore. Today on 7/2 I call to find out why I was charged but can’t find the stay in my past stay stays. I was informed the room was canceled but still charged me for it. I understand the reasoning but after being told it would be canceled on 6/14 I didn’t expect to be charged. Also today I asked about my point for the stay and a receipt since they charged me. I was sent the receipt and given 500 points. If you are going to charge me, I should receive my 10x points per $1. Will not make a reservation at this property again.
