  Just laid down in bed, thinking I write this tomorrow, but this mattress is the worst mattress I have ever been in. This is the worst hotel ever. But this is on me. I have been avoiding this hotel for 2 years, I knew it was awful and yet I tried it again. The showers are disgusting I had no desk to eat at or work at The carpet is stained The futon has….. stains. The dehumidifier smells like gym locker BO The room smells like sewage after showering The fridge doesn’t work The ice machine is a health hazard The microwave is a health hazard The room does not get cold, the widow unit makes weird noises and is struggling I have been here for 2 hours and I can’t wait to leave.

  So many things to say about this hotel. First of all we went through 2 rooms before they found us one that was acceptable. The first room they gave us on the 3rd floor smelled like mold and mildew. Room #2 on the 2nd floor was musty and the ac didn't work. Room #3 was ok but still had issues. The shower had very low pressure, the ac worked enough to keep us cool but barely. The neighborhood was sketchy. The only reason I gave this 5 stars on service is because the guy at front desk was very patience and accommodating if it wasn't for him trying his hardest to help us we may have honestly just left.

  The guy that checked us in was in such a hurry to leave that he gave us a room key of a room that was already occupied. And it says on the website well on Lagoon Fest website that if we rented room here that we would get a discounted rate that too never happened.

  Truly disappointing. We had seen the sheer amount of 1/5 reviews only after having booked the 1 night stay (Aug 22-23, 2026). We were hopefully that they were all wrong or that the hotel had addressed the mentioned issues so our family could just spend the night and have fun the next day... We were wrong. We had called ahead to request a room on the 1st floor, this is due to personal reasons, we were assured that a note was made to our reservation and they would make it happen once checked in. Upon entering, you're hit with an overwhelming smell of mildew and no it isnt because of the region. We visited plenty of places in the area and none of them smelled of mold. My husband checked us in and we were given a 3rd floor room. No explaination, no further attempt to accommodate... We were trying to be hopeful and just proceeded to our room without causing any issue for the staff who seemed completely uninterested in their job. When we made it to our floor, we saw housekeeping in the hallways as well as a large air purifier( we assumed their attempt to help with the mold smell) and they were actively cleaning nearby rooms so we were, again, hopeful for a sanitary or at least cleaned room. Once again, we were wrong. Although from first glance it seemed relatively clean, with closer inspection we found basically everything complained about in recent reviews. A huge mold patch on the ceiling; sheets and pillows that had stains, hair, and smelled of mildew; noticeably stained floors; mold damage on the phone/reciever; mold/staining(?) on the lamps; clear rust on appliances such as the up-on-the wall safe and mini fridge; the door had clearly been broken into at some point as the lock was broken and partially held together with screws; paint/wall peeling as if from a water pocket/water damage high near the ceiling of the bathroom above the sink; and just an overwhelming ick feeling on everything you touched. Due to our circumstances beyond the hotel and because it was just for the night, we begrudgingly still stayed. Took all the sheets and pillows off and slept with our own pillows and blankets that we packed just in case it was bad. We sprayed our own disinfectant on any and everything before allowing our kids to touch it. We couldn't do much for the filthy floors so everyone kept socks/shoes on the whole time, which is not what you want to do while trying to have a vacation. Our air quality was poor and upon closer inspection of the air conditioner, it was no wonder. In addition to the active mold in the room, the air conditioner was caked with lint, rust and hair, just absolutely gross. We stuck it out and hoped for a better morning. The taste of breakfast was actually not bad. They do advertise they have bacon but there was just sausage. We didnt care but just confirming a previous review on missing bacon... still missing. Their pancake machine was broken which was a bummer. There was hard boiled eggs that had gone moldy and where sitting in their own juices in the fridge, disgusting. As well as an old open tube of cream cheese that had gone hard, gross... the coffee was hot and the eggs, sausage and cinnamon roll we had weren't bad but a lot of not kosher things happening there. Very unsanitary. Dead bugs/roaches in the dining area. Overall, would never go again. Would advertise to stay away. Not even for a night. This place isnt it. Will be posting photos once I figure out how to.
