  Betst western took us in when we had a bad cockroach at the quality inn around the block. Rooms were clean. Swimming pool clean. Everything was fantastic. They gave us fresh towels when we checked in. First class experience.

  I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Best Western in Texas City. When we arrived, our room was dirty and unsanitary. It was clear that it had not been properly cleaned before we checked in, and it was not a room I felt comfortable staying in. I immediately brought the issue to the staff’s attention and requested that the room be cleaned. Instead of resolving the problem, the staff refused to clean the room or provide an acceptable solution. Because of the condition of the room and the lack of customer service, we made the decision to leave rather than stay in an unclean environment. To make matters worse, the hotel has refused to issue a refund even though we did not stay due to the room’s condition and their unwillingness to address the problem. I expected much better from a hotel carrying the Best Western name. Cleanliness and basic customer service should never be optional. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying at this location. I hope management takes these concerns seriously so future guests don’t have the same experience.

  I would not recommend staying here. Our experience was terrible from the moment we checked in. The room was extremely dirty and not in acceptable condition. Because of how unsanitary it was, we decided we couldn’t stay there. We immediately brought the issue to the staff’s attention and asked if the room could either be properly cleaned or if we could be moved to a different room. Neither option was provided. We then requested a refund since we weren’t comfortable staying, but that was also denied—even though we left after checking in because of the condition of the room. To make matters worse, I was told the owner would contact me to discuss the situation. I’ve still never received that call. I understand that issues can happen at any hotel, but it’s how they’re handled that matters. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness, poor customer service, and refusal to resolve the situation left us feeling like our concerns didn’t matter. I hope management takes these reviews seriously and improves both the cleanliness and the way they treat their guests.

  I wish I could give this hotel 0 stars. Based on my experience, the current 3.9-star rating did not reflect the condition of the room we received. We booked directly through the Best Western website for a two-night stay. Within about two hours of checking in, we realized we could not stay. The restroom was dirty, the toilet had not been properly cleaned, the towels were dirty, the bed linens had black stains, and the entire room had a strong unpleasant odor. To make matters worse, my sister began experiencing what appeared to be an allergic reaction shortly after we entered the room. We immediately reported these issues and requested either a different room or a refund. Both requests were denied. We were told we could not even check out until the following day, despite deciding to leave because of the condition of the room. We left that same day and never stayed either night of our reservation, yet we were still charged for both nights. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to speak with the owner to resolve this matter. My calls and requests have been ignored. I was even told I would receive a refund, but that never happened. The most disappointing part of this experience wasn’t just the condition of the room—it was the complete lack of concern for paying customers. I expected accountability, but instead my concerns were dismissed. I hope management takes guest complaints seriously and improves both the cleanliness of the property and the way customers are treated. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

  Our experience was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty upon arrival, the restroom was unsanitary, and there were visible stains on the bed, making it unacceptable to stay there. We only remained for about an hour before deciding we had to leave because we did not feel comfortable or confident that the room was clean. What made the experience even worse was the lack of customer service. We reached out to the owner about the condition of the room, but never received a response. Despite leaving almost immediately due to the cleanliness issues, a refund was refused. I would not recommend staying here. Cleanliness and customer service should be basic expectations, and unfortunately, this property failed in both areas.
