  Clean and quiet. Gravy and biscuits for breakfast. What else do you need.

  Unfortunately, this hotel is way past its prime. From the moment we walked in, it’s clear this hotel has been overlooked and owner doesn’t keep the place up to other Holiday Inn Express levels. Chairs are stained in lobby, elevators are banged up and in poor condition, luggage cart had a flat tire and falling apart. This is just the first impression. Room was very old and tired, bathroom had patches off the walls, rusted out areas on toilet and in shower. Artwork was peeling. Towels were in such poor condition we didn’t shower there. Breakfast was good, yet no cinnamon rolls (why my husband always books with HIE). Was told Sysco has been out of them for weeks, yet stayed at HIE on this trip and two other locations had them. Just a total lack of management/ownership. Will not stay at this location again.

  The staff was friendly, but the room was horrible. As soon as we walked into the room there was a strong mildew smell. The chair in the room was so dirty I didn’t even want to set my luggage on it. The carpet just felt dirty, and the light over the sink in the bathroom didn’t work. I would not recommend this hotel.

  This place...ugh! Except for the front desk clerk, she was a sweetheart. She is not to be blamed for... 1. The pool is closed. No explanation or compensation offered, not even to put group host who has been a HIE rewards member forever. The kids in our group were so disappointed, and rightfully so. 2. You can't have food delivered! You have to meet your door washer somewhere in their tiny parking lot. That's really not safe. 3. The rooms were definitely not worth the price. The shower was stained gray, the floor tiles were broken and the towels were very far from white and fluffy. 4. We stayed at another HIE in San Antonio that was far less expensive so much cleaner, allowed food delivery, and they had a functioning swimming pool that our kids could enjoy in the Texas heat.

  This was a disappointing experience for an IHG hotel. When I first arrived the front desk clerk was extremely rude. It seemed like I was an inconvenience. After I checked in I had to ask where the elevator was and how to get to my room because it was not explained to me. I later had to request a DND sign for my door. Anytime I passed the front desk there was a sign that the clerk stepped away. When I arrived to my room I noticed a piece of tissue hanging from the peephole in the door. As I looked around I noticed there was no coffee with the coffee pot. A lot of the furniture was dusty. The room was dark, dingy and felt dirty. The hotel had an "Inn" feel about it. Not in a good way. The elevator was questionable and dirty and the trash cans outside were overflowing during my entire 5 day stay. There was trash throughout the parking lot. The hallways were neglected. The room door did not close behind you, you have to manually close it. The staff did not acknowledge you when passing by. I'm baffled by the fact that this hotel is part of IHG. I'm in a different city every week and this is by far the worst IHG I've been at.
