  We attended a nearby book release event at midnight. I felt safe driving to and from the hotel at this time of night.

  Stayed 2 nights here, walked in our room, and the humidity smacks you right in the face. It seemed like the last time they repatch some drywall or updated the bathroom, they must've hired a 3-year-old to do it. Literally had ants start coming in from the sink drain the last night. Let the staff know about it once we checked out the next morning, and they said "oh yeah, we've been having a problem with them recently since it's been so hot outside. They're just looking for a place that's cool." If you know that you have an ant infestation, then close the freaking place until you have pest control come in and treat the place until there's no more insects instead of putting customers in the rooms and charging them outrageous prices for a couple of nights. Never got a refund when I should've receive one. Never coming back here! Should be a "-2-star hotel."

  5/5 for friendly and helpful staff. Everyone we talked to was kind and helpful. 3/5 for the hot tub being not hot tub worthy (temp was colder than normal and we had to use a wrench to control the bubble button). However, the hot tub spills over into the pool, which warmed the pool to an almost spa like temperature. A piece of the pool's filtration system sucked part of my husband's back, resulting in skin irritation. When we mentioned it to the front clerk, we received a comped rate for our return trip which I felt was above and beyond. 4/5 for breakfast. I loved the single brew coffee station with REAL half and half. The attendant was friendly and on point with keeping the food refilled. 3/5 for cleanliness. The hotel recently underwent renovations, so I can understand that it might not look up to par. However, a lot of the issues leaned more towards general cleanliness than construction maintenence. The hallway floors were scattered with leaves and dirt and the elevators desperately need a thorough sweeping (and mopping!). The breakfast chairs also should be scrubbed down, as they were covered with sticky stains. Hopefully the return stay is as enjoyable!
