Like others have said. The name brand is big and popular but this hotel does not live up to that standard.
I'm a business traveler so I was stuck here a few days
The curtain was broken and did not fully close, the furniture feels not modern, no USB plugs, few wall outlets, bathroom renovation was done by a blind man, excess caulking and filler everywhere, door was jammed and hard to close, tv response is slow, 5 seconds to change channels and no smart apps, shower flow is slow, bathroom amenities are ok but feels cheap, elevator goes to 3rd floor but shows 2nd. 3rd floor ice machine inoperable,
Breakfast was ok but feels not fresh, coffee was ok, room Keurig was ok.
Staff is super helpful and friendly. I would not blame them at all.

I did not personally stay at this hotel, but compliments and gratitude to the staff that took care of my family are more than worth sharing & worthy of far more than 5 stars.
My brother is an OTR Truck Driver, and was met with a terrible severe injury while in Dallas, TX, late in the day on Thursday, April 30th. (Severed Achilles & fractured ankle). His injury would obviously prevent him from completing his load(s), much less driving himself anywhere, or home. My parents drove all night, to pick him up from the hospital where he had been waiting in the lobby for over 7 hours, stranded and in pain. (We are from and live in Harrison, AR.) They began the journey home, but when reaching Sherman, TX, adrenaline wearing down, knew that they should stop for some sleep before making the long, sure to be slow drive back. Around 5:00am, they checked into the Holiday Inn Express. My mother said the lady was so thoughtful, and considerate, making extra effort to ensure they had a room that would require the least amount of walking as possible for my brother, showing compassion and empathy to the plight they were in. They slept only a few hours, and then woke to hit the road again. When checking out, just before leaving, another staff member tried to stop my Dad, who was assisting my brother to the vehicle. He sent my mom back in, telling her the lady at the desk needed to talk to one of them. She went back in, and the lady now at the reception desk said she had just noticed the time they checked in, in retrospect to the time now checking out, and wanted to be sure there was nothing wrong or inadequate to their stay that may have prompted the quick departure. My mom explained the circumstances and that they just needed a bit of sleep before another long drive. They had obviously slept through the breakfast time provided by the hotel, and the staff member noted this as well. My mom said it was no problem, they knew they would miss it, but needed the sleep more. Even though breakfast had past and over quite some time before, the thoughtful lady asked her to wait just a moment, and returned with a goodie bag, containing several options of road ready snacks and drinks, wished them well, ,and bid them a safe journey and speedy recovery!
This may seem small to some, but to me it was HUGE, and I know my parents were beyond appreciative. The extra steps these ladies took meant MILES to my parents, and our family!!
My mom did not recall their names, but hopefully with some date & time reference, these ladies will be recognized, and know that they are appreciated!!!
Sincerely,
The Copeland Family
