  I accidentally booked this room instead of the Courtyard Marriot and they wouldn’t let me cancel the reservation, even though I called immediately after booking. Their “penalty” for cancelling is the full price of the room, so I went ahead and checked in to the hotel. The room STINKS and smells like it was recently fumigated, so now I’m worried they might have bedbugs. DO NOT BOOK HERE. Courtyard Marriott is so much better and is closer to everything around the boardwalk.

  The front desk agent Leosha is very hands on to make sure everyone is okay . She went out her way to help guest figure out reservation problem , help guest carry luggage all while maintaining a positive attitude and smile . Thanks for the great customer service Leosha you truly made our night with your great gestures.

  Checked in on 07/19 and the late evening front desk lady (Apologies I forgot your name) was so sweet and gave my kiddos a squishy which they loved. She acknowledged us every time we passed through and was very friendly. The hotel over all was great.

  I stayed at this hotel because of its convenient location. Everything I needed to do during my trip was nearby, and since Houston is so large, I didn’t want the hassle of relocating and commuting to another hotel once I had already settled in. The room itself was clean, and on the first night, the air conditioning worked great. Unfortunately, things changed on the second night. The AC stopped working properly, and despite repeatedly lowering the temperature to 67 degrees and trying to restart it, it would only attempt to turn back on without actually cooling the room. By the time I realized it wasn’t going to improve, it was already around 3:00–4:00 a.m., so I chose not to call the front desk and just tried to get some sleep. I eventually dozed off, but the room remained very hot and uncomfortable. The next morning, when I opened the door to leave, the cool air from the hallway felt incredibly refreshing, which confirmed that the AC in the room had definitely not been working. Another inconvenience was that the elevator was out of service during my stay, requiring guests to use the stairs. While I understand that maintenance issues happen, it certainly impacted the overall experience, especially when carrying belongings up and down. Overall, the location and cleanliness were positives, but the combination of a non-functioning elevator and the AC issue on the second night made this stay less comfortable than I had hoped.
