  An outstanding hotel! Rooms and common areas are all super clean. One of the best breakfasts selections I've ever come across. And my wife and I are retired. Have stayed in lots of hotels when we travel. Even though this hotel is next to Interstate 35 it is remarkably quiet, with comfortable beds. The staff are all courteous, and hard working. We booked online as it was cheaper than booking directly through the front desk. But either way it's a great value!! The rooms are slightly small. But we definitely will stay here any time we come this way. We're staying four nights, visiting family. We highly recommend this hotel!!

  The rooms were very dark and small. The sides of the pool and hot tub were peeling paint. The pool is surrounded by a wall. There were only 3 chairs in the pool area, which made it difficult to find a place to putt down our bags and towels. We had to leave them in the outer area. The hotel definitely needed more staff. We did like the lobby coffee machine.

  I don't normally come out here and leave reviews, but I had such an excellent experience at this hotel this past week, I just had to come share. I don't do much traveling, but when I do, I think I've gotten used to the fact that the hotels are either raging expensive or they're dirty and they suck, or even both (in the case of California). This hotel was none of that. The first thing my 14 year old daughter mentioned was how nice everything smelled. And it was true. We walked into the room and it was actually cold. Air conditioner worked great. Minifridge worked great. The room had a Phillips smart tv that you could log into with your Google account. All of your data is wiped when you power off the tv, so you have to login every time. Also... wifi was a little wonky. Probably a router configuration that it is off just slightly. Basically, each day, the tv would lose it's wifi connection. To regain it, I just had to unplug the tv and plug it back in, so I consider that a workaround and so I deducted no points. :) All in all, the price was excellent, especially during the week. If you are looking for a launching point for a tour of South Texas popular destinations (as in our case, Six Flags Fiesta and Schlitterbaun), this place is perfect. Highly highly recommend. (Oh and the free breakfast bar is great too).
