I had such a wonderful stay at the InterContinental San Antonio! The hotel itself is beyond nice, but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and genuinely seemed to go out of their way to make my stay better and my day a little brighter.
Josh at the bar was top notch—organized, friendly, and so helpful. As a local, he gave me some of the best dinner recommendations and made the experience that much better. Juan at the front desk was also fantastic and made both check-in and check-out completely smooth and easy.
The coffee shop is SO good, and I also had a fabulous dinner at the hotel. Between the beautiful property, great food, and exceptional service, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I hope to be back very soon!

Weekend getaway in SA! Our stay was very comfortable and convenient. The pool was the main reason we chose this hotel. It was a bit smaller than we anticipated but overall it is a very nice amenity. I would have loved to see more variety from the food menu available poolside. HighPraise was the poolside restaurant/bar it’s very cute and convenient but the menu is lacking. The bar located on the 1st floor is Cavalier and it was amazing! The bartender Rocha was phenomenal! He is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to provide us with some awesome local bars! Overall our experience was great!
We enjoyed our stay. It's a great location with good proximity to River Walk. Our room was nice, we enjoyed the pool every afternoon. The rooftop bar is apparently only open weekends, and we were there Tuesday - Friday, so that was unfortunate. The staff is very nice. Bar staff were great about offering suggestions for local places to try.
A few bummers.... Upon check in, we were notified of a $25/day fee, which could be applied toward food or beverage at the hotel. I do not believe we were advised of this upon making our reservation, because I would probably have chosen another IHG hotel. While we used the $25 each day at the bar before going out for the evening, it forced our hand on our choice of where to have our evening cocktail and left a sour taste. If you have to force people to use your amenities, that is kind of a red flag. Also, our refrigerator in our room would not close. I advised the agent who texted asking about our check in went that it appeared to be frozen up and would not close, and the light was leaking out the sides. She stated she would send someone to fix it, and I said it was fine to enter the room. That was never done, and by day 2, the floor under it was constantly wet. It was never fixed. I also advised her that that morning, we noticed the door hanger advising we could get 500 points per night for opting out of housekeeping (we had missed it upon arriving to our room). I advised the same agent we didn't see it upon check in but that we were not planning to use housekeeping, and asked if we could get the points for the first night, which she gave us. However, we never received points for the other 2 nights, even though I have a case number with customer service. Customer service advised me I would receive an email regarding the 1000 missing points, but that never happened (Case #10601245903).
Again, nice hotel, good staff, we had a great stay - we're pretty easy going folks but those few things would make me pause before booking here again.
Stayed for 3 nights.
The location was great, the staff was overall friendly and helpful (shout-out to Kevin at the front desk). Room was good and clean. Bed was comfortable. Fitness center was clean and organized. Pool was good.
Restaurant could be better organized and informed. We were told the weekend brunch buffet runs till 12pm. Unfortunately for us, the staff started closing and cleaning the buffet area at 11:28am. Leaving us with little time to scramble and full our plates.
Brunch buffet had decent good; eggs, bacon, sausage, pulled pork, yogurt, fruits, oatmeal. Restaurant has live music during some hours, which was great.
Found strand of hair in our room service order food. Room service also forgot one of our items when delivering, we had to call and remind them we were missing an item.
Pay attention to hours of restaurants and room service. Their main restaurant Cavalier is not open on Sunday or Monday nights.
Oh I suggest parking at the St. Mary Garage 2 blocks over. Decent rates, its a manned parking garage. Seems safter than some other options around.
