  Small hotel in a former jail house ! 5 minutes away from Riverwalk. No parking at the hotel. Parking 5 minutes away for 20$

  This place genuinely surprised me. I was not expecting the level of comfort I enjoyed at this hotel. I had a king bed and if anyone figures out where these mattresses are from, please let me know because it's rare that I find a bed that my back doesnt hurt in LOL. The bed, the pillows, blankets, were all so comfortable. The room comes with the best AC unit ive ever experienced. I run hot and there were times when I had to shut it off because I was cold. There is a microwave and a mini fridge which is such a bonus. The room also has a safe which I like to have when I travel. The breakfast buffet also surprised me. It doesnt have a massive amount of options but everything they do have is honestly delicious. The little egg omlettes and sausage were a staple each morning and actually had flavor unlike alot of other hotel buffets. All of the staff are very lovely. Shout out to Ivette who was very helpful and kind during my stay. Also a shout out to Lucy who is in charge of breakfast, also very kind and helpful. The hotel has a coffee machine as well as a juice/water machine which was very nice being able to refill my water bottle each day. The hotel comes with a very picturesque pool, perfect temperature. The hotel is located super close to the river walk, the historic market square, the San Fernando Cathedral and tons more. Honestly, my only downside to the entire hotel was the cleanliness to the bathroom, but those are more aged stains than anything. I would absolutely stay here again.

  The room was cozy with a view of parking area & frost bank building 5th floor, close to the elevator. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast had the biggest variety I've seen. Didn't expect tea to part of it. A rare sight. The building is historical so advise is to follow signage. Closet door is heavy & built solid. Be careful when opening bathroom door when in use, you may hurt others knees. Shower water felt good in shower/tub combo. Bed was very comfortable along with pillows that come with both soft and firm to pick from. TV was a little glitchy but worked fine overall. Recommend placing a note on channels to see which are available. Desk chair felt very good on the back. A definite recommend for those who are either making a stop for the night, dropping off for travel, or aim to sight-seeing on a budget. Its a great starting point if you like to walk downtown streets late night.
