I had a fantastic experience here! There's plenty of safe well-lit parking, the lobby, restaurant, and bar are immaculate, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The manager went out of their way to make up for a small issue and made my trip as comfortable as possible. Everyone on staff is polite and professional, too.
If you happen to be visiting for graduation at JB Lackland, this location caters to you. They have a special early breakfast buffet, a map and directions to get onto the base, etc. I really can't speak highly enough of this location!
We recently rented your conference room for a family gathering and reception. Your hospitality and generosity made our time there very wonderful and the staff that help setup did everything we asked of them. A very special thanks to the front desk staff Patricia and Belinda for their kindness professionalism and wiliness to go above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly, much appreciation Jerry Farmer

My family stayed at this hotel just earlier this week for my sister's BMT graduation from Tuesday through Friday. Elevator was out of service which wasn't a big problem for us but it's definitely something we should have known sooner. Room was slightly disappointing, it could get very humid at times and had a sort of funk to it. The fan in the bathroom didn't work very well after showers. Water constantly poured out onto the floor whenever we'd shower and it'd take a while to clean. We had a few problems with our keycards when it came to entering the pool area or gym room but the ladies at the front desk were very kind and fixed them for us each time. Pool was kept very clean and in good condition to use. Breakfast offered lots of different options aside from the main courses like cereal, yogurt, and waffles. It was overall a decent kind of experience but I would not stay at a hotel like this again. With some improvements I'm sure it could be better.
The Best Western Plus Lackland was a great stay for me while in town for Air Force BMT graduation. My room was clean and spacious and cool. Their breakfast had decent hot and cold offerings. And the staff gave a lot of helpful information about the graduation. While not a brand new or luxury motel, it was conveniently located and a great place to crash at the end of the exciting and activity filled day.
This motel was dirty , dated and falling apart and the elevator was out of order our entire stay Our room was on the 3rd floor. They gave us the option of canceling our reservation but we were there for our daughter’s BMT graduation at Lackland and by the time we arrived we were tired. We also had no idea yet what the rooms themselves would be like. In hindsight, I really wish we would have taken the time to look for another place even if it was further away. The lighting in the room was poor and there were no outlets by the bed. The bathroom has a half glass door/panel for the shower. There is no door to close on the shower so water gets everywhere (toilet/floor etc). And the toilet is right where you have to get out of the shower. It is such an awkward and impractical design. The entire motel looked like it hasn’t been updated since the 80’s or 90’s.The cost was incredibly high ($130/night) for the quality. I can only imagine they can get away with it because of its location to Lackland AF base. We stayed 3 nights at this Best Western and then decided to stay in San Antonio 2 additional nights. We stayed at a different hotel maybe 10-15 mins further out but $30 less per night and far superior in quality. We would have gladly driven the extra distance if we knew how much better it would be. I would not stay at this Best Western again unless it was absolutely necessary. The only decent thing was the breakfast. They had a nice selection of breakfast items and a coffee machine that had a variety of good coffee options during breakfast hours.
