  Nothing for miles around, but the food here is worth it. We've stopped in multiple times over the years travelling to Carlsbad and Hobbs most recently. We stopped in more often when May owned the place. The hamburgers are not your typical burgers of ground beef; these are premium ground chuck and the flavor was fabulous--hats off the cook. The French fries are what I truly enjoy, fresh cut and fried up dark golden brown. The place was busy our last visit 8/9/26--lots of people stopping for soda, and snacks. Had to ask if we just needed to seat ourselves. After I asked that and was told to take a seat, seemed that the line behind us was there to eat as well and the tables filled up. The cook came out and took our orders then promptly went to cook our meals for us. 4 stars given for service: When I went to pay the young lady at the register kept trying to charge me for an extra burger. I had to ask her to get the cook, as she took our order. The young lady wasn't apologetic and didn't seem to want to engage in any conversation or offer any type of solution other than you had 3 burgers. I remained calm, knowing we'd get it figured out. Bottom line, there was another table's order added to ours. The floor in the back room could use some help, it slopes; I'd pick a table in the main area. Gift shop is typical tourist type items.

  really nice place. met some new friends. Had some delicious ribs chops during a family style meal special event.

  ❤️ this place. Locals plus some passer thrus but the vibe stays local. It's a unique experience.

  This is THE BEST rest stop you can make. Visiting from Dallas and their burgers are the best in Texas. If you’re visiting Guadalupe Mountain National Park, this is a must have.

  Had to stop and have the family use the restroom. We were going to grab a bite to eat but I feel it was a bit over priced for the restaurant food. But my kids got snack. The lady at the register was very friendly . They do have some neat souvenirs.
