  This was a perfect spot for us. We didn't need to be on the beach but we were still right there! Clean rooms and facility, great coffee, perfect simple breakfast, very nice staff and the on site pool was nice too! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Oh! The burger place literally across the street was awesome!

  The hotel was fine and the breakfast was very good for the price. Staff were friendly enough but we noticed a few things that let it down. The hallways all had a nasty smell in them. The decor in the room was worn out. Bedside tables were badly water damaged as was the cabinet under the TV. It felt like it was overdue a refurbished. Also the pool was a bit tired with missing tiles etc. but the frustrating thing about the pool was that there was no shade anywhere so we couldn’t sit out of the pool on the chairs or loungers.

  Extremely disappointing stay — serious cleanliness issues and unacceptable management response I would not stay here again. Our first assigned room was unacceptable because of what appeared to be black mold, so we were moved to a brand-new room that management told us had been checked for cleanliness and mold. Unfortunately, that room was also unacceptable. We found long black hairs throughout the room, brown and pink discoloration that appeared to be mold, dirt, deteriorating furniture and carpet, chipping/peeling paint, and large rips in the carpet. Management later tried to claim the hair came from me and my children, despite all of us having blonde hair and our immediately contacting management about our concerns upon entering the room. The black hair was visible immediately and was found throughout the room. I have video documenting the condition. What was even more disappointing was how management handled our concerns. Instead of taking the issues seriously and working to resolve them professionally, we were met with rudeness and dismissal. Ultimately, we were essentially told to find another hotel. Guests should not be given a room represented as clean and checked for mold when these conditions are immediately visible. And guests should not be treated as a nuisance for reporting legitimate cleanliness and room-condition concerns. This was unacceptable from both a cleanliness and customer-service standpoint, and it was not the standard I expect from a Holiday Inn Express.

  Near the water rent a golf cart and have fun rooms pretty clean and free breakfast
