- BSBarb Siegel1 day ago2.0As an IHhG club member, this Holiday Inn Express does not meet expectations. It acts like a suites with breakfast and amenities extra (not included). My room was shut down when I arrived, AC had been OFF, refrigerator had been turned off, clock and lights un-plugged and blinds down. Towels were short for a king room. Then they shutdown the pool 2hrs early on a Monday. Finally my room key sleeve indicates breakfast with times, but when I arrive, no plates it is not part of the room for club members. Also, juice and milk are served at the bar. The staff was extremely accommodating, yet after traveling 4K miles and staying in 3 Holiday Inn Expresses between LA, NC, and TX this on in McKinney, TX does not follow express protocol. Prepare yourself, it caters to Premium Members as if you were in a Holiday Inn Suites not an Express.

After a very long and very stressful day dealing with a plumbing emergency I was exhausted, my daughter, and grandbaby were hanging on by a thread (pretty sure everyone has been there before!). Being greeted with a smiling face, compassionate and underatanding conversation, and a very clean very nice room made all the difference!

Breakfast was good, and the coffee was especially delicious! We did have a small issue with our room on the second day—a strange smell that suddenly appeared—but Marlene at the front desk was very accommodating and quickly moved us to another room, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel!

However, after visiting this location, my perspective has completely changed. The hotel was truly updated, clean, and modern. The service was excellent, and the room service team did a phenomenal job. Based on this experience, I would definitely consider returning to IHG as a brand again.
