  Date of Stay October 4th through 6th 2026 We’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Pampa several times over the past few years when visiting my wife’s grandparents, who live just down the road. Until our most recent stay, we had never really had any issues. One of the highlights of this stay was actually the older lady who checked us in. She was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She has lived in Pampa her entire life, and the way she talked about the town made it obvious how much she genuinely loves the community. She was by far the most pleasant part of our stay. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment this time was the breakfast. The food was very bland and, honestly, some of it was difficult to eat. The eggs were watery, the sausage patties didn’t appear to be cooked thoroughly, and the biscuits were extremely hard. I’ve eaten breakfast at plenty of restaurants and other hotels, and this was probably the most unsatisfying hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The food tasted like it had been frozen and reheated rather than freshly prepared. The juice machine was another issue.. The juices were essentially tasteless, and something about them just didn’t taste right. It almost seemed like the machine needed to be cleaned or serviced. We also had an issue with housekeeping. We were gone for several hours visiting family, but when we returned, our room had not been tidied. We didn’t receive fresh towels or additional toilet paper, which was disappointing. We’ve enjoyed staying here in the past, so it’s unfortunate that our most recent experience wasn’t nearly as good. We’ll probably give the Hampton a try the next time we’re in Pampa visiting my wife’s grandparents and see how that experience compares. ***Important*** My wife reminded me of another important concern, particularly when it comes to the safety of our children. She noticed that the door to the swimming pool area had been propped open, creating a serious safety hazard. As parents, we understand how quickly young children can wander off, even when their parents are doing their best to keep a close eye on them. Leaving that door propped open creates an opportunity for a curious child to enter the pool area unattended, potentially resulting in a tragic accident. To the property manager, I strongly urge you to address this issue immediately. The door to the swimming pool area should never be propped open or left unsecured. This is a preventable safety risk, and proper precautions must be taken to help protect the children and families who live at this property. Please ensure that the door remains securely closed and that this safety concern is addressed before a preventable tragedy occurs. My wife closed the door, however we left and forgot to address it with the workers.

  Everything about this hotel was a great experience. From the staff, the room, the price, and the perfect breakfast!!!

  The location is good but the hotel needs lots of work. The hot tub was not working that wasn't the problem but it was full of dead bugs breakfast was pretty empty they did not refill any of it

  Hotel must be getting old. My card didn't work first try and had to go back down with all my stuff to get it programmed again. Office chair is old. Mattress is typical 2-star hotel mattress -- very hard. TV feels like it's from 2010. Outlet falling out of the wall. Drain plug missing in bathtub. Hot tub downstairs out of order. Just old. Not very good on morale staying here. I will be checking out tomorrow instead of 4 nights from now.
