  This hotel is TERRIBLE!! Smells like they tried to cover up cigarette smell with air freshener. The elevator had sticky stuff all over the inside. The pool was closed when it was open for season on website. We walk into our room and the window A/C unit is hanging off the all. My mom's room wasn't any better. To make it worse the lady at the front desk didnt even seem to care.

  The rooms were clean. This was a one-off as there was a distinct musty dog odor in the room when we came back from dinner. Otherwise the place was immaculate. The lady at the front was new to me ( I've stayed here before) and she was friendly. The problem was that she could not set down her game on her phone and focus on her customer. This is not what I've come to expect from this location.

  Do NOT stay here. I dont mind budget hotels, but this place was unacceptable. First I noticed balled up toilet paper in front of the toilet like it had fallen off someone after wiping. Then I noticed mold all over the shower. Also, splatters on the wall. I thought ... okay. Needs repainting. Finally, I noticed the roach. I grabbed my bags immediately and went to request a refund. The young man at the desk was very kind and apologetic. The absolutely most horrific part of this story is that I drove about 15 minutes to another hotel. I told the woman that the other hotel that I had booked had a roach in it. Then she's says, "you have one on you!" OH. My. God. I brushed it off. Jumped around. Shook my hair. Im so disgusted. It must have jumped onto my hair from the ceiling. All I did was walk in, wash my hands, spot the roach and leave. Absolutely horrifying that one traveled with me for 15 minutes. I also didn't feel very safe staying there. Some inhabitants were sketchy.

  We came into town to see George Strait, and SureStay Hotel by Best Western had availability. We were a little unsure at first, but we ended up enjoying our stay so much! All of the staff were very nice and welcoming. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was also a nice surprise that they had a bar inside the hotel that stayed open until 2 AM. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would definitely come back!

  Location was great since we were attending an event at Texas tech. When we arrived the lady in the front was rude and gave us issues with the fact that we had a pet. We did have to call actual bestwestern to ask about pet policy since we have stayed at best western hotels before and it wasnt an issue. They did mention we could have our pet. The room seemed clean the only issue was the sheets had stains and it seems like they don't really clean the hotel or maintain the property.
