The only positive aspect of this location is its great location. Now, let me address the issues that were not so great. The air conditioning in the room was inadequate, failing to cool the room to a comfortable temperature. It consistently stayed above 75 during the day and struggled to drop below that during the night. To resolve this problem, we were accommodated by switching rooms, but unfortunately, the new room was even worse. Swimming was not an option either, as the pool was closed during the summer season. Considering these factors, I don’t believe it was a great value for my money. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately, they were unable to fix the AC issue, even after having maintenance personnel come and inspect it.

Checked into and out of the hotel immediately. Booked two months in advance, showed up and was utterly disgusted. The condition of the hotel was immediately noticed. Gave it the benefit of the doubt until I had to jiggle the filthy door handle into our room. The smell was the first thing we were greeted with. The carpet nappy, the air conditioner blowing heat. The amount of dirt and debris scattered across all corners of the room. The layers of dust on the refrigerator. Pee stains all over the wall, and toilet. The poorly repaired water damaged dry wall. A rusted out, peeling, molded bath tub with standing water. Blankets and sheets with stains and holes. It was disgusting! Went down stairs to check out and the attendant knew the conditions and agreed to me leaving in search of a better hotel. Even more upsetting, I spent over an hour with IHG customer service multiple times just to be hung up on and never called back each time. For anyone looking and thinking of staying at this location please don’t!!! If this is what you are looking for, trust me, save your money, and sleep on the street curb, it’ll be equally if not better compared what this place is offering. Honestly, I do not understand how they are allowed to be operating as is.

The breakfast was very good with different options, the staff super nice and rooms clean. Jacuzzi was working and the pool was clean, exercise room very well maintained. Perfect stay if you are in a working trip.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property for TTU activities. For location to the campus it’s not bad. That being said, everything else about this Staybridge is bad. The property is in serious need of some updating. The hotel is old and run down. The single old elevator smells like a wet dog. It’s obvious the ownership doesn’t care. The free breakfast is gross. Food was old, with lots of items missing. I would have rather driven down the street to McDonalds for food. The room was disgusting. The floors in the kitchen were full of food pieces and the sink had remnants of the lasts guests’ meal. The microwave was covered in old, melted cheese…or something. Coffee stains were all over the counter where the coffee pot was placed. The window sill had a used deodorant stick and a 1/2 bottle of soda on it with a used pillowcase. When we extended the sofa bed, it contained used sheets, and underwear in the mattress. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, and even if it was, it was so caked with lint and dust it wouldn’t have done anything anyway. All of the floors needed to be vacuumed (they were clearly not vacuumed after the previous guest checked out). The tub was very slow to drain during my showers And since the exhaust fan didn’t work, it made the area uncomfortably humid. It took several calls and stops by the front desk to clean the room appropriately. The TVs are impossibly difficult to operate (1 cable box had to be replaced, and it came with a remote with dead batteries) and the TV signal is horrible, as are the rooms’ thermostats. No one really seams to be able to address any of these issues quickly nor really care. One exit was marked “out of order” forcing everyone through the front door. Pigeon droppings (in piles) are all over the property. I will not stay here again, the price isn’t worth the lack of service, dirty rooms and run down building. See pics:
