I have attended several events at the Post Oak Hotel and wanted to give a shout out. The most recent was the SBEF Luncheon. The location is great and the venue is amazing. After the event you can also do an after party at several of their bars and eateries. There are numerous to choose from. Valet parking is your best way to go if you have the luxury of time after a huge event. Pop out ahead of the end of the event and request your car. I think you can even text them. OR park on the parking garage and walk through the hotel lobby. The compound also has a salon, spa and has ample upscale bathrooms in several locations. The hotel and venue is just gorgeous.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I’ve stayed here multiple times and the staff continues to exceed my expectations. Isaiah is so consistent when it comes to service. I wanted some pork rinds but couldn’t find them at any of the stores near the hotel. Little did I know he would be coming to my room with the pork rinds I had been looking for after placing a door dash order himself. He didn’t have to do that, but he wanted to make sure I got what I wanted and didn’t even want the tip. I also want to mention Rashad. He is the best server at the pool and truly does take care of his customers. From his gentle spirit to his warm smile, I always look forward to seeing him and have no worries when he’s around. G (the manager) is also great! He is always checking-in to make sure my stay is going well. It is truly the little things that mean so much. Finally, I want to give praise to Chris and Jock (I was able to capture a photo of them). They are in touch with the city’s culture and recommended some great places to visit during my stay. They are professional, down to earth and truly embody raw authenticity that breaks the mold of typical luxury hotels that may come across fake. As a journalist who reviews hotels and pays close attention to detail this place doesn’t miss the mark. And even when they fall short they make up for it. There is no better hotel in Texas!

Hotel security were very rude and nasty did not appreciate them. What I did appreciate was the manager and staff at reservations. Chris and jack were awesome!

I visited this for my Bestfriend’s birthday and had an amazing experience! Shameyra checked us in and gave us a lot of great recommendations. We encountered Rashad at the pool and he was very welcoming and even brought my friend over a birthday surprise. We order some drinks up to the room and Yahweh was so sweet and had a great energy about her. We encountered Jacques several times throughout our stay and at departure and he was always so friendly and kind. Will for sure be staying here again

My husband booked us a lovely, city view corner suite, just for us to be RACIALLY PROFILED. Close to the end of our stay we decided to take a look around the hotel and found ourselves on the 3rd floor, our key had access to this floor and there is also a staircase in the lobby that leads to this floor. There isn't a single posted sign that says people cant be up there and our key also had access to the library on that floor. We walked the halls just to admire the artwork and the cars on that floor, only to be approached by security, SECURITY of all people when we were simply minding our business. She walks up to us, no questions asked. Not "Do you need anything?" "Can we help you with anything?" NOTHING just "We don't allow the Public up here" although we werent just the "public" we were GUESTS of the hotel. We purchased a (not cheap) room. Had to eat our breakfast outside by the pool but thats a different story for a different day. We were hurting no one and still SECURITY was sent to escort us off the floor. I had seen several other what looked like guests (not black) coming down the stairs from the floor but they were not being escorted like us. You would think with so much black staff this would be a safe space for us instead I left feeling embarrassed, belittled and my birthday close to ruined. I had looked forward to staying here, as I am a content creator and had intent on sharing the Post Oak with my following, instead they will be hearing about this. I will never stay at this hotel again. We spoke to 3 different people who had different answers about wether or not patrons are allowed on the floor and what it comes down to is there is no issue with people being up there. The manager said he would accommodate us the next time but I highly doubt that will happen. I WILL be making a big deal about this. The power of social media is crazy.
