  Disappointing Stay I wish I had read the Google reviews first. We arrived late and were greeted by Kyle, who was friendly, helpful, and got us checked in quickly. Unfortunately, our first room was unacceptable, dirty counters, stains on the walls and bedsheets, a dirty toilet, and an outdated kitchen that looked like it was falling apart. We brought it to Kyle’s attention, and he was very understanding and moved us to another room. Room 407 was cleaner, but still outdated and not somewhere I’d stay again without some serious upgrades. Kyle’s customer service was the best part of the experience.Disappointing Stay

  Absolutely unacceptable — nowhere near IHG standards We have been loyal IHG guests for nearly 20 years and are Diamond Elite members. We have stayed at countless IHG properties over the years and have never experienced anything remotely like this. We have never been the type of people to sit around reading Google reviews before staying at a hotel. We arrived expecting the normal IHG standard we have come to know and trust. Unfortunately, that was not what we found. The room and property were absolutely unacceptable. There were roaches, an overwhelming dead-body/decaying smell, dirt and grime throughout, and rotting/deteriorating wall boards that appeared to have been neglected for quite some time. This wasn’t simply an older or outdated hotel. It was a serious cleanliness and maintenance issue. What makes this even more frustrating is that an employee actually told us to go read the Google reviews. When we did, we were shocked. The problems we were experiencing were clearly not new or isolated. It was obvious that guests have been reporting serious issues with this property for quite some time. We simply cannot understand how these problems can be so well known and yet nothing appears to have been done to correct them. We are Diamond Elite members and have been loyal to IHG for nearly 20 years. We understand that not every property is going to be brand new or perfect, but there is a HUGE difference between an older hotel and a hotel that appears to have serious cleanliness, odor, pest, and maintenance problems. Honestly, this place is Motel 6 status — and I’m not sure I’d even give it that compliment. This property is an embarrassment to the IHG brand and completely unacceptable for the standards we have come to expect after nearly two decades of loyalty. We would absolutely never stay here again and cannot recommend this property to anyone.

  Strong awful mold smell in the aisles (3rd floor). Dead roaches in the room. The shower curtain is useless since it hangs over the tub, so all the water pours out, and when our shower was turned on, it had a high pitched very loud sound.

  I noticed a bit of a musty smell in the hallways and rooms. Also, the shower water turned brown for a moment.

  I found a roach in my bed when I got into my room late at night. Also the pillows and blankets smelt like wet dog. The best thing about this hotel is the ducks.
