- JJjamesJun 22, 20263.0I had a very disappointing check-in experience at this hotel. I arrived a few minutes before the posted check-in time and was told by the manager, Jerry, that my room was not ready. He stated that he was waiting to hear back from housekeeping but provided very little information or updates. After waiting several more minutes past the official check-in time, I politely asked for an update on my room. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, Jerry became defensive and suggested that he could cancel my reservation because he thought I seemed angry. At no point was I rude or disrespectful—I was simply asking why my room was still unavailable after check-in time had passed. What made the situation even more frustrating was that another employee was eventually able to assist me and get me checked in. That employee was courteous and helpful, which highlighted the lack of professionalism I experienced from the manager. Delays can happen, and I understand that. However, there is no excuse for poor communication, dismissive behavior, and making a guest feel unwelcome for asking a reasonable question. The customer service I received from the manager fell far below what I expect from a hotel. I hope management addresses this issue so future guests are treated with more respect.
