  During my stay, the computers in the business center were not working. The swimming pool was green and posted as "Out of Service," so guests could not use one of the hotel's amenities. The worst part happened on my last day. I found a large live cockroach in the bathroom, directly above the area where I had been keeping my toothbrush, combs, hairbrushes, and other personal hygiene items throughout my stay. I killed it, took photos, and immediately reported it to the front desk. The front desk employee looked at the cockroach and the photos and told me they would speak with the manager. I requested a refund because I did not believe the room met basic cleanliness standards. Instead, the manager only offered me reward points because I had already used the room. I later contacted the corporate customer service department to request a refund. They told me they would contact the hotel and get back to me. It has been over a week, and no one has contacted me. I have photos documenting the green pool and the cockroach. I expected a clean room and properly maintained facilities. Instead, I left feeling extremely disappointed by both the condition of the hotel and the lack of customer service.

  The place is modern and clean but nothing is in working order. The pool is closed because it needs cleaning, but no cleaning scheduled. The computer in the lobby is out of order. The ice machine on 2nd floor is out of order. They have almost no breakfast items. No cereal, milk, yogurt, pancakes, cinnamon buns, fruit. I've never seen a Holiday Inn express like this before.

  Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. My family had to switch rooms twice because of maintenance issues. One toilet wouldn’t flush, and instead of having the issue fixed properly, it felt like we were expected to deal with it ourselves. Another room had a door that wouldn’t lock. The pool was dirty, housekeeping never cleaned our room, and we never received the crib we requested. I expected much better service and accommodations. I have stayed at other hotels and had far better experiences.
