I am a Silver Elite Member and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Houston on 13 June 2026 for the World Cup. We traveled from Florida and our check-in experience with Brittany was a disaster. First, she told me that I had not been billed for my room (when I had already pre-paid). When she wanted to argue with me, I presented paper documentation showing the charges for the rooms to my account. Then, she gave me the incorrect parking tag for my vehicle. When my wife took the incorrect tag out to the car & returned, Brittany informed us that the initial tag "was not filled out properly." After this, she billed me twice for incidentals. When I informed her that I had already processed the payment, she wanted to argue with me about if the payment processed effectively even though I previously signed and received a "payment approved" notification. Customer Service at this location is grossly lacking. It is also not communicated in advance that parking here costs $28 per night in addition to the room costs. The parking fee is a complete rip off. The manager on duty was Boris Manriquez, but he was no where to be found.

Dear Management,
I am writing to formally complain about the poor room conditions and unprofessional service I have experienced during my current stay at Holiday Inn Express.
I am on my second night of a four-night reservation, and for two consecutive nights, the lights and power outlets in my room have failed. When I went to the front desk at 10:20 PM tonight to address this, the supervisor on duty informed me that no other rooms were available. While I understand the hotel may be full tonight, her handling of my request to move tomorrow was highly unprofessional.
She insisted that I must return at 4:00 PM tomorrow to secure a room change, claiming that if I returned at 8:00 PM after my scheduled event, no rooms would be available. Despite my request for her to simply hold a room for me, she was incredibly rude, repeatedly telling me to "Listen to me!" in a mean-spirited tone. Eventually, she yelled, "Fine! I'll make a reservation and hold a room!"
It is disappointing that I had to insist and endure such hostility—witnessed by two other guests—for a simple solution that she was clearly able to provide. I expect much better service and a functional room for the remainder of my stay.
