  I was really disappointed with my first stay at Four Seasons Houston. I stayed for two nights and, unfortunately, the experience fell well below what I expected from a Four Seasons property. Like other reviews, the rooms are quite old. There were several details that felt surprisingly lacking for a hotel at this level. When I first entered my room, the bathroom did not appear to have been properly cleaned—the toilet had visible residue, which was especially concerning. On another occasion, a maintenance/engineering employee opened my room door without knocking or announcing themselves. It was an uncomfortable and unacceptable experience from a privacy and hospitality standpoint. The soap dispenser nozzle was broken, instead of a replacement, it was jammed back in. I also asked the front desk to correct my title from “Mr.” to “Ms.” on my folio, which should have been a simple detail to address. What disappointed me most was the lack of attention to detail throughout the stay. At this price point and with the Four Seasons reputation, I expected a much more polished, thoughtful, and seamless experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as these are the kinds of basic details that can make a significant difference in a guest’s overall impression.

  I really wanted to love this hotel, and there were certainly some great parts. The property and the room itself were beautiful, the spa and pool area were nice, and I had a great experience at Toro Toro. The bartender, Juliana, provided excellent hospitality. Unfortunately, the overall hotel experience did not feel five-star. During my stay, I had several issues with the room. A bathroom light was flickering, and after I reported it, the bulb was simply removed rather than replaced. A drawer in the room would not close properly, although maintenance did promptly repair that. I also reported cigarette smoke odors in the hallway of my floor during my stay. Later, housekeeping serviced the room but did not fully reset it, leaving the decorative pillows on the couch, and on the morning of checkout I discovered that the room phone did not work. None of these issues on their own would have significantly bothered me. What was disappointing was the lack of follow-up or service recovery after several issues accumulated. The same front desk agent I had previously spoken with checked me out, but there was no acknowledgment of the earlier problems and I was not asked whether everything had ultimately been resolved or how my stay had been. I therefore did not mention the additional housekeeping or telephone issues before leaving. For a hotel of this stature, I expected much more proactive and attentive service. Problems can happen at any hotel, but what distinguishes a five-star property is how those problems are handled. Unfortunately, I left feeling that while this is a beautiful hotel with some excellent amenities and employees, the overall hospitality did not live up to what I expected from a Four Seasons.

  I normally don’t write reviews like that, but this review is particularly for the baristas Amy and Savannah. I have never experienced such excellent, kind service from people that would then lead me to show up every morning to buy coffee and breakfast just because of the hospitality that I have been given lately from these two. Both of these women in particular are extremely knowledgeable in what they do and make a beautiful art with a morning coffee. I’ve been going through a hard time in life lately and the staff has been nothing but amazing. Thank you for all you do!

  I’ve been visiting Houston for work for many years now and have stayed at this property several times. It is, without doubt, one of the best places to stay in Houston. What keeps me coming back is the consistency of the experience. The courtesy and professionalism of every team member from the bell desk and concierge to the restaurant staff and housekeeping—are exceptional. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality make every stay feel effortless. A special thank you to Kao and Gem, whose warmth, attentiveness, and personalized service consistently go above and beyond. They truly make every stay memorable and are a wonderful reflection of the hotel’s commitment to excellence. The apartments are also among the best I’ve experienced for longer stays: spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and ideal for anyone visiting Houston for an extended period. A truly top-notch property with outstanding service. I always look forward to returning.
