  The place is absolutely old is not updated. No power cords for your phones. No remote in the room. Had to go to the service desk to get a remote smelt Terrible. Just stay somewhere else. Let the picture speak for their self. This is just a terrible place. Never stay here again

  Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first room we were given smelled strongly of sewage, and the carpets felt sticky. Since there wasn’t another room available with two beds, we opted for a king room with a sofa instead. Unfortunately, the second room was not much better. It had a strong musty odor, the floors were sticky, and there were fake eyelashes left on the shower curtain and on the bed sheets. The shower itself was visibly dirty, and there was what appeared to be feces on the wall next to the shower. The toilet barely flushed, which was extremely inconvenient. Overall, the cleanliness and condition of the room were unacceptable. The smell alone was absolutely horrendous, and we were very uncomfortable throughout our stay. I understand that things can occasionally be overlooked, but this was far beyond a minor housekeeping issue. For the price we paid, we expected a clean, sanitary, and comfortable room. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but that.

  Outstanding customer service from Jerry, the Operations Manager! Realizing you’ve left items behind at a hotel when you're already miles away is never fun, but Jerry made the recovery process completely painless. He tracked down our items right away and personally handled the shipping logistics to get them safely back to us in Alabama. ​Jerry handled everything with incredible professionalism, patience, and politeness. What impressed us most was his communication—he answered every call and email without missing a beat. Candlewood Suites is lucky to have him representing their team. Five stars all around!"

  If you're ever in Harlingen, Texas, I would not recommend this place. It is crawling with roaches and mice. The silverware drawer was full of mice poop. And under the sink was rat powder and roach catchers.

  I feel at one time this hotel was probably top of the line one of the best out there but as is with anything you know time goes by and it gets run down I do believe it requires some major renovation first room we were given air conditioning didn't work the office staff did not know how to work the air conditioning second room we got we had to hurry up and get going to where we were going by the time we come back it was late we were exhausted air conditioning worked but the TV in the living room did not work the front door or the only door the door did not lock needless to say it was a very long exhausting night for my husband he could not sleep for fear that someone would come in while we were asleep we were exhausted it was late we were not about to ask for another room so like I said I'm sure at one time this was you know top of the line place I personally will not stay there again on the upside the office staff was amazing and they did the best they could with what they had kudos to the people that the front desk they were amazing
