  Let me first say I LOVE Holiday Inns. They are my go to place to stay. The one in Glen Rose is perfect. Maybe the front desk clerk yesterday afternoon does not understand brand loyalty yet, but there is no other place I would rather be than at a Holiday Inn with my family. If it says Holiday Inn I trust every bit of it, however, yesterday changed that. We were excited to come stay because our families are coming together to restore my father's home and choosing to rest here after working in the Texas sun all day. We were told it was 225.00 a night that seemed a bit high for a standard queen room but we love Holiday Inn. After I hung up a few hours later I thought I should just double check to make sure the pool and jacuzzi were working because we have to have this after working in 101 Texas heat. I have never questioned a Holiday Inn before and thought it was odd that I had that thought but followed through and I was glad I did. The front desk clerk said the pool and jacuzzi are not working. I was shocked. She didn't mention it when she took our reservation. These are amenities at a hotel and if there are not available they should be disclosed at the time of reservation. Let me be clear, I did not call a third party reservation company, I never do, I think that is disrespectful. I didn't even call central reservations I called the property direct. She never once mentioned that any of the hotel amenities were not available. This is not to mention that she even messed up the days were were staying and I had to call back to get it corrected. Mistakes happen. But to just hide the fact that we were needing the pool and jacuzzi after mentioning we would be working all day in the heat and those details just left her mind. I feel letdown, betrayed by the dishonest behavior. That one action has made me loose the confidence in a brand that I 200% support, from family, friends, PTO Members, church members, co-works; I was a 200% ALWAYS try Holiday Inn first before you look anywhere else. Now, that confidence is gone. I will still say my go-to is Holiday Inn but it will be with caution now. The excited happy feel is gone and it's just business now. There was not even an attempt, though in this case I would not have accepted it because we needed the pool and jacuzzi, to give a discount for the stay. I guess I just feel let down and disappointed in a brand that I love.

  I stay here on a monthly basis for work. The entire staff is very courteous. After a week on the road, Debra and her associates make me feel at home upon arrival.

  Uodate as of August 16, 2026: When we arrived in our room, there was some kind of old meat in the refrigerator, the shower wasn't clean and had stuff and hair in it, and the bed didn't have the sheets changed. The breakfast was good. It was quite all night. The bed was nice. This is our first time coming here. The rooms are large and alot of space. Loved the bed and walk in shower. The breakfast was very good.

  This is THE only place for 30 miles or more. Still a good place to stay.
