  An amazing stay! I have traveled quite a bit and the selection of breakfast items has never been THIS GREAT! And the room had plenty of space. The staff was amazing!

  I want to start with Ms. Evon. I appreciate you and may God bless your soul and finances. However, Avoid this hotel at all cost. The lake itself is probably cleaner. Absolutely the most unhealthy facility I have ever come across. Like there is a Uptown Park Ave for the elite 1% and a the opposite lower end of Park Ave where the non elite reside. I was hoping for a clean, modernized and safe location near Rockwall for a couple of days. IHG should not false advertise and any rating above ZERO is dishonest posting after my post today. I spent the next 24 hours clearing my lungs of the ammonia and bleach smells that permeates the lobby. We all know amonia/bleach smells does not equate to cleanliness. It has been 100+ degrees for weeks and the hotel has no ice machines. Apparently out of order for months now. Come on!!!!!! Are you generating any revenue? ZERO ZERO stars. Ms. Evon your next blessing is on the way. God covers his own. Thank you Ms. Evon.

  For the price the room was good! The staff were super friendly and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best I’ve had! My only complaint is the room could have been cleaner! At first glance the room looked clean but once we got unpacked and settled in for the night we saw stuff in the corners that weren’t vacuumed and there was old pee on the back of the toilet that you could only see if you put the lid down… they definitely need to work on their cleaning! Especially after all of the other reviews I’ve been reading.

  Hotel has great potential but management has no attention to details. The bathroom cleaning needs improvement. Rooms and hallways need better lighting. Only one elevator was running and very slow. Both ice machines were down. For a Holiday Inn Express it has a unique decorations with a lot of purple. Nice looking though.

  This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property was extremely dirty. The carpets were covered in stains, the walls were filthy, and the room did not feel clean at all. When we first checked in, the bed sheets were dirty and looked like they hadn’t been changed, so we had to request a different room. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better. To make matters worse, every ice machine in the hotel was broken, so there wasn’t even a way to get ice during our stay. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance of this hotel are unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here and definitely won’t be returning.
