Place is not made for people with bad backs. The bathrooms tub and toilet is so low, I couldn't turn on the water without using the handicap bar to hold myself up. Toilet is made for kids and short people. I am 5'6" and have problems. Besides that the place was ok. Kinda expensive for not having Continental breakfast.

Look for another Holiday Inn, do not come here. The staff might be friendly but the amenities you expect to find are not here. I spent the weekend resting from business, and I specifically called to make sure the Jacuzzi and pool were open. This morning they were closed, even thought they looked perfect, and they told me they are under maintenance. Continental breakfast for 10$ is RIDICULOUS! both in assortment and quantity. Just a few toast and Jam. You have to pay for a cup of coffee! A much cheaper hotel has eggs and free hot drinks! No more for me!

I am extremely disappointed with the response from management regarding a very clear tax exemption issue under Texas law. After an extended stay, I requested to be made tax exempt as applicable, only to be denied based on reasoning that does not align with the actual law.
The General Manager’s response states that tax exemption only applies if the stay is on one continuous reservation, which is simply not accurate. Texas law focuses on consecutive occupancy, not how the reservation is structured internally. Despite being a continuous guest, I was told that because I checked in and out daily (a process controlled by the hotel, not me), I do not qualify. That is both misleading and frustrating.
What is most concerning is not just the denial, but the dismissive tone and unwillingness to properly address or correct the issue after it was brought up multiple times. Instead of acknowledging a potential misunderstanding or working toward resolution, management doubled down on an incorrect interpretation of the law.
I want to be clear—the front desk staff has been consistently professional, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. This issue is strictly with upper management and their handling of a legitimate concern.
It is disappointing to see a brand like IHG represented this way at the management level. Guests should not have to fight to have laws properly applied, especially when they have been loyal, long-term customers.
I strongly encourage future guests in similar situations to educate themselves on Texas occupancy tax laws and keep detailed records of their stay.

Room had funky colors but the worst part was laying in bed and watching a huge bed bug crawling towards me looking to suck my blood as I tried to get some sleep. I luckily was able to kill it but it left blood all over. I called the front desk the next day and they did not care at all. The manager received the pictures I took and never even responded to me. They would not issue a refund either. I was a walking zombie the next day since I didn’t sleep a wink. Why would you stay here? You can get hotels just as cheap without blood sucking bed bugs. If you don’t mind bed bugs crawling on you, eating you alive, and taking them home with you, then sure, go for it.

The location was easy to find and in a good location. Plenty of free parking. The staff was super nice and easy to work with during check in.
The room had yellow walls and outdated outlets, but clean and had a good layout. The room lights were also updated and made things easy to see. There were light switches that didn't work and maybe should removed. The a/c worked very well. The water pressure was probably the most appreciated thing about the hotel.
I did not use the breakfast in the morning.
