  Great location and price. We knowingly arrived 3 hours early (on a Saturday)- before check in- after driving for 4.5 hours and asked the front desk "gentleman" if we could just drop our bags and check in later. He responded with, "No, I don't have room back there." Ohkay... moving on. Front lobby hadn't been tidied up from breakfast (it was 11am). The hallway smelled nice & the room was clean and cool. The pool area should be kept up better, as there were articles of abandoned clothing and trash scattered about. There's a farmers market and brewery/ concert venue in walking distance. Those were lovely and great for families. We would stay here again for the location and price but with the expectation of lackluster hospitality.

  I’m disappointed with our recent stay, particularly because several issues added up to make the experience fall well below what we expected. From the moment we arrived, the service felt unwelcoming. At check-in, the receptionist did not acknowledge or thank us for being Platinum Elite members. My husband was also given a difficult time checking in because he had my credit card while I was waiting in the car. We also were never asked how we preferred to receive our points/benefits. At first, we were willing to overlook the check-in experience, but unfortunately, the problems continued. The room itself was generally okay, but there were noticeable maintenance issues. The shower door was off its track, making it extremely difficult to open and close, and the sofa had a small tear. The most disappointing part of our stay was breakfast on the morning we checked out. The posted sign clearly stated that the restaurant opened at 6:00 a.m. When we arrived, an employee was only beginning to set up. When we politely asked about breakfast, he argued that the restaurant did not open until 6:30. We pointed out the posted hours showing 6:00 a.m., and his response was essentially a shrug and, “It’s not ready.” There was no apology, no attempt to help, and no concern about the conflicting information. It also happened to be my 50th birthday, so this interaction was an especially disappointing way to begin what should have been a celebratory day. I understand that maintenance issues happen and that breakfast may occasionally run behind schedule. What makes the difference is how those situations are handled. A sincere apology, a friendly explanation, or even a little basic hospitality would have gone a long way. Instead, we encountered indifference at check-in and outright rudeness at breakfast. As loyal guests with Platinum Elite status, we expected a much warmer and more professional experience. Unfortunately, this stay left us feeling neither welcomed nor valued, and I hope management takes these concerns seriously.
