- KHKatelyn HJun 11, 20261.0Great location on Fort Sam Houston right next to the NCOA. But that's all it has going for it. This is an old building that has had little to no refurbishing done. The rooms were very moist from constant AC without ventilation or proper drainage. The carpet was wet and as soon as I entered the room it reeked of mold/mildew. I ended up sick from it and asked to be moved to which the manager seemed annoyed. I was ignored/forgotten for days until I spoke with someone else at the front desk. Both of my rooms had issues from very warn carpet, missing tiles or paint, to clearly outdated outlets, loose faucets, and even a dead cockroach. It is crazy to me that this is an IHG hotel and the amount paid to stay here when the building is in such a bad condition.
