I booked a two-night stay six weeks in advance for a wedding and reserved a suite with two queen beds and a pullout couch. I called the day before to confirm the reservation and was told everything was set. After a long drive, we arrived at 10:15 p.m. Friday to find that our room had two queen beds but no pullout couch. With four children, we needed the sleeping space we had reserved. The front desk staff, including Renee, were very apologetic. They first offered to bring an extra mattress to the room, but there was no space for it. They then moved us to a room with a king bed and a couch and placed a king-size mattress on the floor. I helped move the mattress so we could get the kids settled and go to bed. It felt more like camping than the hotel stay we had booked. The room also had only one mirror, which made getting ready for a wedding difficult. After one person showered, the water was warm at best. Breakfast was hardly edible. I asked several times to speak with a manager, but was told she was either busy or unavailable. I appreciate Renee’s kindness and effort to find our children a place to sleep. Unfortunately, the room mix-up and the rest of our experience mean I would not stay here again.

This is the first time I’ve ever stayed at a “3 star hotel” where I felt like the elevator was going to kill me and there were multiple roaches all over the place. The staff is friendly and the rooms themselves are nice, I’ll give them that, but there are So many other issues with this location There is something wrong with the elevators, it makes strange sounds and drops whenever it reaches a floor. This is the first time ive ever stayed at a hotel where I felt like I was going to experience the tower of terror or get sliced in half exiting the elevator. I believe some other reviewers mentioned that it hadn’t been inspected since 2019, I cannot confirm this. There were roaches everywhere…when we checked into our room there was a dead roach on the floor. There were dead roaches in the stairwells (which we defaulted to as we refused to use the elevator), and there was a live roach we had to kill on one of the nights of our stay which was disgusting to say the least. Finally, there was something up with the rooms themselves. I’m not sure if this was the Texas weather or what but the sheets and pillows in the room felt moist? Like if they had been washed but not dried properly, but they weren’t wet…strangest thing ever, think it had something to do with the humidity so I can’t 100% out the blame on the hotel. The location was perfect for our needs but I would never stay here again if I had the option.
