The common areas, including the lobby and pool, are partially shared by a night club. This means that you can't even read a book or have a conversation at the amenities due to the club music essentially being right over you. If you get a room on the night club half of the hotel, good luck getting a good night of sleep. Truly a strange and incompetent design for a hotel.

This was our first time staying at the Hotel Indigo brand. It was right off the highway. The staff was polite, and we were able to check in early. Overall, the room was clean with an artistic vibe, featuring concrete beams and columns, local photography, murals, contemporary lighting fixtures, and an interesting color scheme. They have a pool, which guests enjoyed. The bed was extremely comfortable.
However, the hotel needs some TLC, particularly the bathroom, where the shower base had a rust spot, the wallpaper was peeling and had black stains, and the bedroom drapes were coming off their track. We used the valet service for our short overnight stay, but the credit card machine was down, so we had to pay in cash, which we rarely carry.
We would consider staying again in hopes of providing a better rating next time.

We make it a point to always stay at Indigo downtown when it comes to having a Staycation! We always are given exceptional service. Especially from the start where the valet gives us the royal treatment by letting us park our highly modified vehicle up front. Hector always rolls out the “red carpet” and treats us like family. We are usually offered our favorite room on the top floor and the bar and pool are modern, chic, and a great place to relax. Definitely a must stay if you’re planning to visit El Paso. And it’s walking distance from all the great restaurants and must-do places downtown!

The staff was great. The hotel is run down. The wood in room and fitness center needs refinishing, the ceiling above bed either had water leak or who knows black marks everywhere. The fake plants outside each room are faded and worn. Outside the elevators are metal panels that are dented in carpet looks trashed it’s just not worth the price they are charging. In desperate need of a remodel .

I wanted to love this property—the design aesthetic is easily an A+. Unfortunately, the actual guest experience was a complete disaster, feeling far more like a mismanaged budget motel than a high-end IHG property.
Here is the laundry list of issues from a single weekend stay:
Unbearable Noise (Day & Night): The noise from the pool/bar area was ridiculously loud and carried all the way up to the 12th floor. Once the bar quieted down, street drag-racing right outside kept the noise going until 2:30 AM.
Non-Stop Construction: Active renovation work went on right outside/near our room from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM on Saturday—only stopping after I explicitly complained to the front desk.
Fire Alarm Disruptions: We endured two separate fire alarms. The first went off during lunch on Friday at Mamacitas (we were told it was just a test). The second was a false alarm at 6:15 AM on Sunday morning after hours of street racing noise.
Room & HVAC Deficiencies: We had no hot water in the shower on Friday, and the A/C unit was completely incapable of adequately cooling the room during the late afternoon heat.
Housekeeping Oversight: Housekeeping left a half-empty water bottle in the mini-fridge from the previous guest—and left it there through two separate cleaning cycles.
Bizarre Front Desk Service: When asking for complimentary bottled water at the desk, I was abruptly told it was "only for status members" (which I am). Adding to the absurdity, I returned to my room to find a handwritten note thanking me for my loyalty status.
Tone-Deaf Management: When I clearly laid out this string of failures to staff, the representative offered me a drink or breakfast voucher—a tone-deaf response to an utterly ruined stay.
Customer Service & App Breakdown:
Trying to resolve this through official IHG channels was equally frustrating. After writing out a detailed message in the IHG app, the representative claimed none of my text "came through" and asked for basic details that should already be tied to my account. After escalating, management proceeded to call my phone directly during a private dinner with my partner, despite explicit instructions not to disturb us.
Ineptitude at every single step of the way. If you value sleep, functional room amenities, or competent customer service, stay elsewhere in El Paso.
