  Check in did not validate duration; local power outage occurred minutes later ended up cancelling my last day of a 3-day stay which I did not discover until night of second day. No fun moving to a different hotel at 10 p.m.

  I honestly don’t know where all these 5 star reviews are coming from. Horrible place to stay, there’s literally no running water and they expect you to still stay and they can’t do anything about it. No reimbursement nothing! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!!

  My family and I are frequent Holiday Inn Express & Suites users and this hotel convinced me to look into other hotels from now on. Before I continue with my review, obviously your stay is what you make it but when you are paying a certain price and are advertised cleanliness, friendliness or even having a great experience, you would assume that's what you will get. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk and about 10 minutes passed until we were helped even after calling out for someone. As soon as we got up to our room, there was a dingy smell. It was dirty!!! The showers were disgusting. Stained inside the shower and along the baseboards in the bathroom area and dust all over the dresser. My girls and I changed and checked out the pool and it was disgusting!!!! The water looked yellow! Bugs, dirt, towels laying everywhere. It was a very disappointing experience. My husband went to the front desk to let them know how dirty the room was and even after showing him another room, it was the exact same. He asked the gentleman about canceling the reservation so we can go to another hotel but he was told we would be charged anyway so we took the L. Needless to say, Holiday Inn Express & Suites has disappointed us before but even more so now. We won't be back!

  As someone who travels regularly for work, I would like to preface this review by saying I stay in many hotels across the state of Texas and have never had so many repeated issues. Upon check in, the toilet was non functioning in the room I was assigned to so I asked to be moved to another room and was accommodated. Later on after unpacking, I realized the toilet in the new room never stopped running. As it was the evening and maintenance was out until the next day, I had to endure the annoying noise all night, until the issue was resolved the next day. After the issue was promptly resolved the next day, I came back to the hotel from work all day and discovered that now the flush lever was not working. So I had to wait another day for this new request to get rectified as maintenance had left for the evening. I also started to notice that the water pressure would decrease in the morning, but figured it was because there was a large number of patrons using the showers at the same time, but boy was I wrong. For being a newer hotel, there are some serious water issues going on...and they are not "temporary" by any means. I stayed at this hotel for a total of two weeks for work and every other day (literally) there would be low water pressure, or no water pressure at all, which then turned into the shower not working. As someone who works out before work, this was a major inconvenience for me. The final straw for me was the housekeepers not changing the sheets after being a guest for a week. I kept my reservation for the duration of two weeks, but over the weekend I stayed at a friends house in the area. When I returned on Sunday afternoon, I noticed that my bed had been made, but they were still the same sheets from the previous week as they had a makeup stain on one of the pillows. When I went down to the front office there was no manager on duty, but the housekeeper on duty was nice enough to come in my room and change the sheets. I did kindly ask the front desk attendant to pass the information along to the manager about the sheets not being changed. Throughout the rest of the week, when I would try to go follow up with the manager he was never there, even if it was 2pm in the afternoon, which I thought was odd, but I know the message got to the housekeepers as they started coming in my room daily to make my bed, even when I had the do not disturb sign on the door, to prove a point I am assuming. To me that's an invasion of privacy and for this reason I will never return to this hotel again.
