Beautiful Property | Inconsistent service
Hotel Crescent Court is beautiful, but the service was surprisingly inconsistent. I communicated with Concierge for over a month leading up to my birthday stay, followed up multiple times, and was ultimately assured everything was set. Despite that, confirmed amenities including Prosecco (offered but forgotten by the concierge), and newspapers weren’t provided upon arrival (amenity listed on their official page. “Even if many folks don’t read them, don’t offer what you haven’t had for years”)
Dinner at the Crescent Club also fell short with missing components, an extremely fatty lamb entrée that could not be cut with a steak knife, and no follow-up from our server.
After investing so much effort communicating relatively simple arrangements in advance, having to manage them again after arrival was particularly disappointing.
General Manager: Brett Krafft, responded within an hour when I reached out and deserves tremendous credit for turning things around. Naser, our house-car driver, was exceptional, and Regina and the Spa team provided wonderful, attentive service.
Crescent Court clearly can deliver genuine luxury hospitality; I simply wish that level of care and follow-through had been present from the beginning.

Do not let these reviews deceive you. The service at this hotel is atrocious. Not only is the staff beyond disrespectful, but they do absolutely to accommodate you, despite multiple attempts of solutions proposed. The front desk receptionist, Nia, and supervisor, Manish, do not care about their guests and would rather lose business than help you. To say this is a 4 to 5 star hotel is a lie. I have never been more disappointed in a hotel in my life.

We booked Hotel Crescent Court through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts and prepaid with my Platinum Card. I lost the physical card that morning, but arrived with a matching driver’s license, another physical American Express card, access to my active account, and the Platinum Card in Apple Pay.
The terminal accepted the Apple Pay transaction, but the employee manually voided it because the hotel said it would not accept Apple Pay for fraud-prevention reasons. I also offered to complete a credit-card authorization form but was told it would take 24 hours.
The policy itself is not why this is a one-star review. The problem was the hotel’s complete lack of empathy or effort. Rather than contact Amex, involve someone who might help, or even acknowledge how stressful the situation was, the manager’s first proposed solution at approximately 8:00 p.m. was that we should leave and let them cancel the reservation. We were standing there with our newborn.
We stayed because leaving at that hour with a baby was not realistic, but the hotel denied all FHR benefits, including breakfast, the $100 property credit, and guaranteed 4:00 p.m. checkout. Our final folio ultimately showed no additional charges due.
Those benefits mattered because we were in Dallas so my wife and her 91-year-old grandmother could visit the grave of my wife’s mother. I had booked FHR so my wife could spend quiet time at the spa afterward. Instead, we had to rush out with all of the baby’s belongings and figure out how to spend several hours elsewhere during approximately 104°F weather.
The failures continued. We requested a refrigerator for breast milk and a crib or bassinet four times: when booking, by phone one week before arrival, again the night before, and at check-in. Neither was in the room. When we called, staff rudely claimed they knew nothing about any request, even though it appeared in the reservation notes.
A crib arrived about an hour later. It had peeling paint and looked decades old.
The property may look luxurious, but luxury hospitality is defined by how a hotel responds when something goes wrong. Hotel Crescent Court treated us like a problem to remove rather than a family needing reasonable help.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tanne in Reservations at The Hotel Crescent Court. From the very beginning, Tanne provided exceptional service that went far beyond simply making a reservation. Professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind, Tanne made the entire experience seamless and stress-free.
What truly stood out was the level of care and attention to detail. Every question was answered thoughtfully, every request was handled with enthusiasm. In today’s world, that level of personalized customer service is rare, and Tanne exemplifies what true luxury hospitality should be.
The Hotel Crescent Court is fortunate to have someone like Tanne representing the property. First impressions matter, and thanks to Tanne, mine was outstanding. If every hotel had someone with this level of professionalism, warmth, and dedication, travel would be an absolute pleasure.
Thank you, Tanne, for making the reservation process such an exceptional experience. You are a tremendous asset to The Hotel Crescent Court, and your commitment to excellence does not go unnoticed!

My stay at Hotel Crescent Court dates back to an SMU graduation many years ago, but the property left a clear impression as a Dallas institution. The grand arrival sequence, including the elegant circular drive, gave the hotel an immediate sense of occasion. Its Uptown location also placed us near Highland Park and within easy reach of the city’s business districts.
The hotel was beautiful, stately, and well suited to a major family celebration. I do not retain enough detail about the room or service to pretend otherwise, but the broader complex felt established and deeply connected to Dallas. It had the confidence of a place that had hosted graduations, weddings, and business gatherings for decades.
Much has evolved since my visit, including the arrival of Nobu and a more extensive collection of dining and wellness amenities. Those additions were not part of my experience, but they seem consistent with the hotel’s longstanding position in the city. My review is necessarily based on an earlier era, yet the architecture, location, and institutional presence have clearly endured. For a traditional Dallas luxury stay, Crescent Court remains an obvious address.
