  I really really enjoyed my stay here the hotel is very beautiful and the customer service is really good I loved my room and I loved the artwork the hotel has u will really enjoy their breakfast buffet it is really good and the room where the breakfast is is so beautiful on Thursday they had happy hour with free Mimosas and Non Alcaholic Mimosas with crackers and cheese with Salami that was really nice

  I don’t even know where to start. Checked in on Thursday for a 4 night stay. The entire point of getting the room was because we wanted pool access in the heat. WE HAVE A HOME. I went to the pool and it was noticeably green in color. Was told it’s fine. Got in but didn’t really feel comfortable after feeling that the steps felt slimy. The water was still/non moving so I knew the filtration system was not turned on. The next day I returned and it was even greener! I then called the front desk and she said that maintenance was on the way to fix it. Very long story made somewhat short, the pool issue was not resolved during our stay and the only reason signs were put up to even ward people away from the water was because I called several times. The rooms are breaking down and need updating. The wallpaper is peeling. The toilet takes several attempts to flush. The shower drains painfully slow so you’re standing in water. I requested towels and sheets I got those but was told there was no toilet paper. The thermostat read 60 degrees where it was set to cool but felt every bit of 75. Air filters looked to have not been changed in ages. Breakfast was good, but I had been getting a to go box the entire stay so that I could watch my tv and eat, somehow the breakfast my husband PAID FOR was unavailable to him that last day because I apparently already ate for two guests. It was rectified but at the expense of him being a little late for work. The elevator is a joke, only one worked and with that many floors you can imagine the nightmare. The staff was nice and tried to be accommodating but really it’s the higher ups. The front desk rewarded us 600pts to our IHR account but that was on the first day of the pool being unavailable. Was told I would be contacted by someone else for further compensation and I’m still waiting. On top of a security deposit amount bigger than expected. I will never visit this hotel again.   My stay was a disaster. No pool because the water was green. I actually swam in the water on my 1st night at night and didn’t know the water was green and had a bad skin reaction to the water. Also was promised breakfast for all guests and it was only for 2 out of 3 guests. The breakfast was pretty good. Probably the only good thing about my stay. Was also told I would get my room deposit back. That didn’t happen because I was told after I checked out that I couldn’t use my Chime card. They didnt clean my room during my whole visit and didn’t have any toilet paper when I asked. I feel robbed and will never ever go here again. 4 stars, yeah right! I would’ve gave 0 stars if I could.

  I booked the Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown on points for two nights and made it through exactly one. The first room they gave me had not been properly cleaned, which was a pretty strong opening statement. I was moved to a second room that was technically clean enough to sleep in, so...progress. From there, things did not exactly improve. The pool is closed indefinitely, several wines at the bar were sold out, and the whole property had a very odd extended-stay vibe. It genuinely seemed like quite a few people were living there. When I book a Crowne Plaza on points I am expecting a clean room, a functioning hotel, and perhaps the ability to order a glass of wine without entering a scavenger hunt. If you need to stay downtown and The Joule or The Adolphus are out of budget, book the Magnolia. I would not stay here again.

  If I could give a negative rating and sue the hotel manager, I would. I had booked my accommodation almost a year in advance but because a city-wide event was happening at the time of my stay, the hotel manager illegally charged my card against the terms and conditions of the booking. When I questioned this, not only did the manager keep my money but gave my room away so that they could make about 10 times more money from having a higher rate because of the city event. I arrived at the hotel reception after a very long international flight to be told this and that the manager was not available to discuss further. I even called 911 as I arrived in this city with suddenly no accommodation. I was told that there was little they could do to help an international visitor and I would need to file a fraud case from my home country, which I did. After an extremely stressful time, they found in my favour and I did get my money back, but this hardly takes into account the other damages incurred to me. I was at a Dallas tourist site and heard two strangers discussing the same situation as what had happened to me, and when I asked which hotel they were talking about, it was the same hotel. The Crowne Plaza. It is appalling that a corrupt hotel manager can get away with negatively impacting so many people's lives. What's worse is that this hotel is under the IHG umbrella of hotels and the IHG customer service was so pathetic and useless and unable to control this hotel manager. So, congratulations IHG. Myself, my staff, and my company will never stay at an IHG hotel again. You've effectively lost our business wherever we go in the world. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
