  Over the past several years the room maintenance has gone way down hill. The last time we stayed we said we will give it another try, but we will probably be moving on and stay elsewhere. The room we stayed in this time the door lock bolt wasn't even there anymore. It appeared to have been broken off and never reinstalled. We found a live cockroach in the closet and there was still toothpaste on the sink from the past few customers who stayed the last few times. Nancy was great and we haven't had any complaints about the staff!! But the dilapidated state of the rooms are now are not worth the cost. I looked around at the surrounding hotels and priced them out they are around $10-20 dollars more, but you are getting a newer well maintained room or maintained in general. Best Westerns are letting their brand name go down hill with this location.

  We paid over $300 for a one-night stay. After taking a shower in the evening, we found that the hairdryer in the room wasn't working, and the root cause was a broken power outlet. The hotel staff couldn't offer any help or change the room. The woman with a injured hand was very unfriendly. This is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

  Decent. Could have been better for the price. Room was humid which is probably normal for the area. The bathroom sink would not shut off, alway had a drip going. Queen size beds are advertised but they are more like full size. Staff was really nice though.

  We stayed two nights at best western padre island. The location is good, not too far from the beaches and close to a lot of restaurants. Sadly we were disappointed by the room. There is a strange smell inside (same in the desk office) and there is a lot of humidity (the floor was wet). We also put a towel on the floor in the bathroom…we wonder if the floor was cleaned before we took the room. The breakfast is just ok. We didn’t expect a 5 stars hotel but regarding the reviews and the price we were disappointed. We’ll definitely Cole back to padre island but not in this hotel.

  I will definitely be back. Jessica i love how you run your business. Stephanie helped me find a place for good drinks. Then my favorite, Deron. OMG we found him to be so funny and helped us in every way. We will be back and hope to see every last one of you. You made our vacation stay perfect.
