  The hotel is in bad shape. The floors in the lobby, elevator, and hallways are filthy and stained and the either the staff are unable to adequately clean or simply do not care. The carpets were absolutely littered with debris, even after apparent vacuuming. The pool, ice machines, much of the laundry facilities are out of order, with the pool so murky you can't see the bottom. The fitness room had empty towel stations and no sanitizer wipes or spray. In our room, the blackout shade was rolled up in the corner. This was a serious problem because there was a exterior flood light pointed toward the building outside the window, making the room too bright to sleep. Management was unwilling or unable to fix this the first night and I was forced to jury rig a covering myself to be able to sleep, the second night, the maintenance worker simply screwed the shade into the window sill, making the window unusable. This fix only happened after approaching the front desk staff three times. Continuing with the trend, the bathroom floors were also filthy, with considerable mildew or mold in the grout and stained or uncleaned tile. The breakfast bar was largely empty of food when we came down for breakfast before 9am both days. The single elevator seems to be in bad shape, being very slow and seeming to stall particularly when going down. The elevator machine room door was propped open the whole stay with temporary fans apparently required to keep it operational. While the staff were friendly, they seemed unable or unwilling to improve the experience, pointing fingers at new management.

  The hotel in general was dirty and you could tell there wasn't much care for the place, are shower head mold up on the ceiling

  stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kyle and it was honestly the nastiest room I’ve ever stayed in. We were in Room 318, and there is no way it had been properly cleaned. I should have known there were housekeeping problems from the start because the lobby smelled like old mop water. The sheets had crust and didn’t look fresh at all. There was hair in the shower, which is just unacceptable. I even put a towel down in the bottom of the shower so I wouldn’t slip, and it turned brown—that’s how dirty it was. It got to the point where I had to put my Crocs back on just to shower, and my husband and kids did the same. That should never happen in a hotel. I didn’t complain at the time because my sister-in-law paid for the room, but looking back, I really should have. I was honestly shocked at how bad it was. This was my first and definitely my last time staying here.

  The only problem was the cleaning ladies dont understand , when you put that " don't deserve" on your door means . Some people work nights besides that it's clean hotel
