Can you say Hoity Toity!
For being located in South Austin you wouldn’t imagine such a snobby place! it was a horrible time at this hotel. For what we paid, we expected the stay to be better. We stayed at another hotel in the past, and they have been very generous and courteous when it comes to assisting the blind and visually impaired. Here, forget it! staff and patrons alike had their noses in the air and eyes to the sky like they don’t give hoot about those of us who may need a little assistance because of our disability. First, when we booked the room, we were very specific at suggesting an ADA accessibility room on the first floor and when we arrived, they didn't even have that room for us. They did not honor this specific request and honestly, they didn’t care. The woman behind the front desk was “by the book” nice and said she couldn’t do anything about it. We called IHG customer service, and the incompetent rep simply told the front desk that we wanted a first floor room, as if we wanted it out of spoiled convenience and not out of an accessibility need. When we proceeded to speak to the front desk lady about it a second time, she said she could do nothing about it, but that she would put it in the notes for her manager. Hopefully she did, but by her stoic attitude, who knows?? Secondly, we had to wait an hour for a room only to be placed on the third floor on nearly the other side of the building, making it much more difficult for nearly totally blind folks like us to find it. Thirdly, they kept taking money out of the card on file without informing us. When we booked the room we questioned if there would be extra fees and we were told, no, only that we would need to pay the cost of the room upon arrival. Before arriving money was taken out of the account around 2 AM the day of arrival. After arriving, we were told we had to pay $50 for “incidental charges”, which we were never told when we booked the room. When customers book a room with this hotel all charges that need to be paid need to be stated upfront. Looking back, I shouldn’t be surprised that this given how incompetent IHG was on the phone when we called at the hotel. SMH… Finally, it was very difficult getting assistance at breakfast in the mornings. We had to pull teeth to get the staff just to show us where the eggs, the sausage and potatoes, coffee and juice were. There were many patrons in the dining area who clearly must have seen us struggling to find things and feel our way around with our white canes, and not one person, except a very kind gentleman, offered to help. We do not expect help from people in these types of situations, but if I was fully sighted, and I saw someone struggling like we were, I would have a heart to at least offer assistance. so, if you’re reading this and have special needs and live on a fixed income like us, I would think twice before nooking here. At least, we have our reliable hotel to go to next time where we know we will be treated right.

As an IHG member for over 8 years, I’ve stayed at many hotels, and this location truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel was one of the cleanest properties I’ve stayed at, and it was clear that great care is taken to ensure guests have a comfortable experience.
What really made our stay memorable was the personal touch. I was greeted and recognized as an IHG member, and the team even had a funny “Guest of the Day” poster made for me. It gave my family and me a good laugh and made us feel appreciated and valued as guests.
The entire stay exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the customer service was outstanding. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
Thank you to the entire team for making us feel at home. Highly recommended!

Rooms were renovated and decent although the ac kept resetting to 65 which was annoying. Supply of towels also not sufficient. The service was the main issue at this location as trying to check-in early at 1pm and the lady was very rude saying it's impossible without even knowing my platinum elite status. It's ok if it's not available but the approach was very bad. The breakfast wasn't great as most of the fruit was empty, no meat item(bacon was out) but finally brought out sausage when we were done, had to ask for forks and more coffee. Parking is $7 as well which is odd for a location with a huge lot andoutside of a busy/downtown area.

We’ve stayed here a few times, but this one will be our last.
We checked in at 8pm for a two queen with a pull out couch. The pull out couch was broken and not safe to sleep on. It wouldn’t stand up, and the metal was all disconnected and unstable.
We called the front desk, but they claimed they didn’t have other rooms available and were sold out.
Then we tried to go to bed, and as I laid down I noticed there was a 14” hole in the bed. Like trying to sleep with a Grand Canyon ditch in the bed. Again I called the front desk and she claimed there wasn’t anything. Now we have only 1 of 3 beds functional.
I called back 5 minutes later and apparently they found a room from a guest that had their card decline. It took 15 minutes for that room to be ready, and now it’s 10pm and kids are melting. We go to check out the new room before packing up, and there is a strong cleaning smell trying to mask a smoke/weed smell. I said we rather sleep on the floor than trigger our asthma in a recently smoked room.
We didn’t stay a second night, and we’re only offered “free parking” which was $7.
This hotel is falling apart. Holes in furniture in the lobby. Mattresses with holes. WiFi was also not working from 10pm to 8am.
Circus City in Atx. I was charged $7/night for "Flock camera" (high tech ai powered license plate readers WITH FACIAL RECOGNITION) security, yet my car was broken into while parked directly in front of one. Despite this, management refused to assist with the footage.
Beyond the security failure, the staff is incredibly unprofessional. They demanded documentation for my service animal, which is a violation of the ADA. To make matters worse, I discovered unauthorized charges on my account. When I called to resolve the billing issues, the staff became emotionally volatile and hung up on me. It’s a circus—save your money and stay somewhere safe and professional. (p.s. the staff try very diligently to remove all negative comments, there was a guy who left a review saying his last review was removed, they have already removed two of mine... What other lies are they trying to cover up??? Book a stay here and you just might find out ;) )
ADDITIONALLY I see multiple reviews about people getting incorrectly charged for items from snack bar, THIS HAPPENED TO ME AS WELL!!! DONT LET THEM LIE TO YOU AND CALL IT A CLERICAL ERROR. ONCE OR TWICE IS AN ERROR, BUT 3, 4, 5 IS BLATANT FRAUD. DO BETTER.
